I’ve turned into a hockey junkie

I think this entry is gonna be a lot of randomness. Just a warning.

I’m SO glad hockey’s back. Although living in LA does change things a little. I mean, my team plays 3 hours earlier so games start at 4:30 in the afternoon. Which means I get home from work at about the start of the 2nd period. Oh well, better than nothing! Plus I had to order Center Ice through the cable company since I would only get about 6 Red Wing games a year if I didn’t. Which is unacceptable! Only that is what’s turning me into a junkie. I’m watching games I don’t care about just cuz they’re on.

Maybe it’ll stop soon. I mean, it is the start of the season after a 1 year lockout so I’m just making up for lost time.

I love Sunday nights. 3 hour DMB radio show live on the internet. Lovely. I’m listening as I type!

Go White Sox!

I don’t really care about baseball but I’m gonna laugh when the White Sox beat the Angels. Which I’m assuming will happen tonight. Plus, I can’t not root for a Midwest team. As M always tells me, you can take the girl out of the Midwest but you can’t take the Midwest out of the girl. So true.

Speaking of M, we just can’t talk about hockey when it concerns the Kings and the Wings playing. He talked so much shit about my team the day before they played each other that I hung up on him. But that was put to a stop since my team won 🙂

The next time they play is on my birthday so that puts a stop to the thoughts that we would go have dinner that night. I’m sure we’ll figure something out.

So jealous of my brother S who is going to see John Butler Trio this week in England. He’s really H’s brother but I consider her family mine and vice versa.

He said he would call me during a couple songs (so sweet of him) and I told him to leave it all on my voicemail since I’ll be at work while he’s at the show.

DMB announced a winter tour again and while I would love to go to the show in Detroit I can’t fly home twice in December. Since they aren’t coming to the West coast, I am actually skipping a tour. I haven’t done that in a long time.

Oh well. That just leaves more money to spend on other shows.
