Went to see OAR last Wednesday with M and R (yep, he actually got in contact with me. I was shocked I tell you…shocked!!!). What a let down. Let me first say that West coast crowds SUCK. Give me my OAR boys anywhere in the Midwest….where they are actually appreciated. The concert had so much potential but OAR is the type of band that feeds off the vibe from the crowd so an awesome setlist pretty much sucked. I think I may have found something besides the traffic that I don’t like about LA.

About M….who knows. I sent him something similar to my last entry but a little more put together. Of course, the night of OAR we got really stoned so talking wasn’t a big priority. Then he chooses that night to also ask me for a favor. So now I’m wondering whether he invited me out to hang out or to ask me for the favor. I feel shitty about the whole situation…even the thought that he just called and invited me to hit me up for a favor makes me sick…but I’m a big pushover and did the favor for him. So 2 of my unused requests for DMB summer tour tickets went to him and R.

I had to laugh though because it seems they liked Alpine enough to go back again this summer. I’m kind of amused by that because Alpine is kind of a big drinking fest (what else are you gonna do from 1 pm until show time in Wisconsin? 😉 and that’s not really their scene. I’m making it a point to not stay near them, fly in at any time near them or go out of my way to make plans for everyone like I did last year. I enjoyed their company last year, I really did, but I always feel like they look down at me when I drink. Sorry, but that’s what I do while we tailgate so deal with it or don’t hang out.

And I just reread what I wrote. I sound like a pothead and a drunk!

The new DMB single from the new album came out on AOL first listen and my lovely friend sent it to me so I could take a listen. I love it. LOVE IT. It’s nothing like the regular DMB stuff (which scared me at first) but I listened to it a few times and have come to the conclusion I love it. This makes me excited for the summer tour to start.
