Much Better.

Things are much better than they were when I wrote last. I guess I don’t deal with major life-changing events very well and my brain was playing all sorts of tricks on me.

I’m putting home ownership on the back burner for awhile….. but I’m saving all the time and stockpiling money into my RRSP to use for a downpayment. I looked at some cheaper places to live but they’re all dives or we would have to give up some things (our own laundry, our central air, dishwasher, etc). There are some WICKED places on the Quebec side, but Shannon is unwilling to leave Ontario. So for now we’ll stay where we are and save save save. We both make good cash, so we should be able to do this.

I’ve relaxed a bit, that’s for sure.

I’m still looking for a day job. I want to stay with the city and I want to stay in my field, but I need some hours that work better with Shannon’s hours. I’m not in a gigantic hurry, but I’m definately keeping my eyes open.

We’re getting a puppy in a few weeks…. a purebred chocolate lab from a breeder that lives 8 hours away! Our puppy, who we plan to name Chloe was born on September 18/11. I have everything ready for her and I’ve been reading a ton of books since I’ve never trained a dog in my adult life. And we’ve enrolled in training classes all ready. Nothing is worse than a dog that is not trained very well.

 
We decided to get a puppy and train her well before having children. Rather than having children and then not having time to train the dog properly. I take walks almost daily in the off-leash park nearby so it’ll be nice to exercise with a fur-friend eventually. The picture is our puppy’s litter at 3 weeks, but I don’t know which one is mine yet. I have to pick her out the week of November 13th.

Wow…. I just realized Christmas is coming soon… just wow….

This year has gone by like crazy! I think the wedding made the first half just fly by! Speaking of the wedding, I sent away for our marriage certificate a couple weeks ago so I should be able to legally change my name soon. Crazy! 

Alright – I’m off. Today is VOTING DAY, and then I’m off to work. Booourns.
