reality check – the is-it-winter-now? edition.
WHERE: really? You have to ask? put it this way, I am wallowing in steamy hot water while outside, cold water falls from the sky. I was woken up by a huge gust of wind wrenching my window open; we always sleep with the window open but only an inch or two, the wind pulled it wide before throwing bucket fulls of rain at us! So, as it’s Friday, I decided to have a baff.
WEARING: the remnants of some pink nail varnish from the summer, a leather wrist thong and a leather and blue bread bracelet on my left wrist and two leather things and my Womad wrist band on the other. Engagement ring (silver and amethyst) and my wedding ring (silver and gold) on my left hand, a gold and diamond ring that I bought with the money my nana left me on my right ring finger and a plain gold band on my right pinky. Two butterfly earrings, one flower earring and two heart earrings.
FITNESS UPDATE: Freyah mentioned a fitness app the other day, there are many variations on the theme of a seven minute exercise routine. Having done research, the seven minutes alone, while better than sitting on your arse, aren’t great for long term fitness and out should be repeated twice more. I have done it for four nights in a row – interestingly, last night I did it while watching Two Hairy Bikers in Spain. For non Brits, the hairy bikers are exactly that, two big teddy bears who travel around sampling and recreating local cuisine. Seeing the seafood empanadas was enough to keep me gong for the seven minutes!
So, after four days I can see a difference to my biceps and triceps. I think it will take a lot longer to see any improvement of tummy muscles as they have been a waste ground for several years now!
IN THE NEWS: the US government has put itself in time out because of all the bickering over the concept of allowing health care for all, irrelevant of income.
There was a plane crash in Colombia. On a lighter note, it’s possible that dementia will have some positive treatment outcomes over the next however-many years.
READING: not a lot. Although that’s not true. If Libby had her way I would read all day. Her favourite book of the moment is called It’s Your Turn Roger, but really? Any book will do , she even likes out when I read grown up books with no pictures to her!
ACTIVITIES TODAY: Toy library in the morning and I actually have the afternoon off! I’ve been planning a swim. A REAL swim that doesn’t involve having limpits attached and waddling about in the shallow end. A swim in which I can just feel the water holding me, glide through it. A swim in which only I exist in the universe for a short time. However, aunty flo is visiting and she seems quite insistent this time! I’ll see if she backs of this morning, if so I’ll be going down to the pool 🙂
THINKING ABOUT: tally has been up since 5:30 so this morning and evening are going to be tough!
The reading programme which starts next week. How it will all pan out etc…
PLANNING: I have offered to do the nct sale for a lady at breastmates. She’s a single mum without a car so I said that I would drive her things to the venue if I could put a couple of things in too. It’s all going to be a tight squeeze timewise as I have to take the girls swimming at 9am and we’re you going to a party at 4pm. These are the drop off and pick up times! So, it’ll all work out, these things do.

Laura won’t get enough of stories either. She’ll keep pushing towards me the same books, though, so I started making up stuff that are not in the books, otherwise I would go insane reading the same words! She seems to love it, so we’re fine 😀 I hope Talaia sleeps better tonight, especially since there’s so many activities waiting for you tomnorrow! Have a good weekend!! <3

Brrr… the mornings have been chilly here too, but this weekend is Thanksgiving and it’s supposed to be gorgeous! I’ve been meaning to check out that 7 minute app (the one I recommended lol). I really believe in the value of short, high intensity workouts over longer, low-intensity. Have a good weekend!
