Life by Song

Music,

Beautiful sound,

There is nothing I love so much.

A siren would have once found me an easy target,

And did once before.

Even now it takes an effort not to be swayed by a sweet song.

Would be too much trouble to fall,

But that doesn’t keep it from touching me,

From leading me.

It has an effect on me,

I get caught up,

Swept away in the feelings.

My entire outlook can change with a simple song,

It’s true.

Unfortunately we live in a world where the most beautiful songs,

Are the ones that are most tragic,

At least to me.

So I ride the waves,

Spiraling further down to the rocks below,

But at least I have a great soundtrack for it.
