Freedom

Would anyone notice if it was gone?

If it disappeared,

Would you see it slipping through your fingers?

Could you see the signs?

Would you even know the difference?

Do you even know what it means,

To be free?

This is something that I really wonder about.   I think that somewhere along the line, someone forgot to teach their kids to value freedom, and it continued.     Meanwhile I feel that some people noticed this, that people did not value the freedom that was so bled for.    Fought for, and so they began to slowly wrench it away.    Because do any of us really even know?    We’ve never had to really fight for it, sure there are some of us that might have fought for other people’s freedom.       Who among us knows what it’s like not to be free though?
