fleeting snow’s promise
fleeting snow’s promise
of a winter wonderland –
nature’s so fickle
[10:39 AM]
And once again, I’m disappointed.
No, I don’t want a lot of snow. A little bit – maybe enough to frost everything – might be nice, now that most of it is melted again. So, when I was sitting here at my desk and could see some healthy-sized flakes coming down, it was kind of nice.
And then our Trainer called to ask if I could get in a bit earlier today due to a personal situation. (Well, he was calling to ask if Ayeka had been complaining to me at home about her quads, but broached the other subject soon after.) When I said I’d try, he mentioned that I should be careful because of the snow, and I looked outside… and asked “what snow?”
Yeah, it keeps stating and stopping. Proof that Nature has to be female – she’s such a tease…
And, on another note, ‘snowdrift’ won a contest at AllPoetry.com, so… I’m happy. 🙂
personally I’m ready for summer, it’s been wet, gray, icy and snowy for over a week now…that’s all the winter I care for…I live in Arkansas for a REASON!!~~ LOL… Be Well. 🙂

Winter’s sweet kiss, Denied to the earth. Stolen away, Caught before they could truly embrace. Otherwise read as . . yeah, I want snow to actually come and stick.
