Ice Ice Baby

NEWSFLASH – Many Texans cannot handle below freezing conditions, therefore in the wake of the current artic blast, San Antonio has come to a crashing halt.  Instead of returning to work after the MLK holiday, I am at home typing this.  I suppose it is for the best.  I can drive in icy weather, since I know what the words slow down mean, but when there is ice hanging off the barbecue pit, I suppose it is better to stay indoors and watch tv.  Thank goodness for Tivo!

The ice storm was so beautiful. We got 4 inches of snow with it up here. It’s nice just to stay inside and keep warm and safe.

It took us half an hour to even get into our car after the ice storm here in Missouri. But at least we didn’t lose power at our home. School’s been cancelled here, too, Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess the upper elementary and junior high schools don’t have power, or something. I’m actually not sure why, that’s just what I heard. So, that’s like a 5-day weekend for them.

RYN: Exactly. Instead of turning things around, they’re just finishing what she started, but pretending to be the party of the people. Grrr, it makes me so angry.
