Front Porch Swing

(Ironically I wrote this yesterday but as often happens, got side tracked and ended up spending the rest of the day with Nathan and we picked the boys up early… Nathan left for harvest today… sniff sniff… Still, I love how this entry began and it really was such a gorgeous day yesterday…..)

Today is just the most loveliest day.

Birds chirping.  Blue sky.  Mid 70s with a slight breeze.  Everything is SO GREEN right now… I absolutely love June in Minnesota.  Kiddos are not home (Wesley at daycare, Jasper at Grandma’s house) and I just got back from a session and have planned to do a bit of housework and laundry with the windows wide open until my mom brings Jasper back after his nap.  I stopped in at my grandparent’s house in town after my session to pick up the front porch swing my grandpa had been fixing up for us.  It was at the old house that stood where our new house is now for years and years–it’s definitely an antique!  It was only fitting that we save a piece of history and carry it on with our new home!

As soon as I saw the old swing I knew it would be the perfect project for my grandpa… he loves fixing things up like this!

I need to devote an entry to more front and back porch loveliness as well as this beautiful farmyard one of these days with my real camera, not just the cell phone… in due time, I promise!
