Endly..
The clean sheets smell lovely.
Amazing how mournful the sound of the train whistle as it scoots through my little town. Once, there was even a train depot here. It rotted quietly next to the tracks for a few decades before someone finally bought it and renovated it. I think it is the office of a contractor now. It’s a very small quaint ornate wooden structure. I always thought what a great candy/magazine store it might have made. Maybe a coffee shop.
We have a quiet house for 2 adults, 2 toddlers and 4 dogs. We’re dog sitting my daughter’s 2 doggies, my "grand-puppies". I expected some whining/crying at least from the spoiled little silky terrier but no. It’s quiet. He’s quiet. Yay.
Tomorrow is my mother’s 69th birthday. Strange how young that seems to me…and how old she is these days. I will get her a gift card to Walmart for summer clothes and try to arrange a small dinner somewhere for her with all of us kids. I wish I could do more. I will make every attempt to go with her to her doctor’s appointment in the morning. He will tell her the results of her CT scan from last week. I hope there is better news this time.
It’s time for some sun.The world smells musty outside.
I will drift off to sleep to the manufactured perfume of detergent and softener.
It is all ok.
I pray for for good results.
