Improving..

 Some things do improve.

The living room is now livable again. Frank finished most of the bamboo flooring. Still a few planks in the hallway and in a corner of the kitchen and almost immediately the trim work will need to begin. Still, the floor is gorgeous. We even have our first real scratch courtesy of the fake Christmas tree when a lower metal tipped branch drug when we were moving it. It will happen. Even after swathing the living room in a huge area rug. We bought it today after taking the boys to the new museum in town. Museum was rather awesome. Great kids play spaces with water tables, sand box, large sponges to tackle, balls to throw, race cars to make and race. Peoria has been long overdue for such a thing.

Boys are napping now and I will be soon enough. Frank is clearing a path for the workmen to begin hanging our new cabinets on Monday..The same day that I take my mother for her liver biopsy. She refuses to even think it is metastasis yet. Good on her, I suppose. I’ve been googling and fretting and mourning already. Her twin is doing abysmally. A large cecum mass was found in her and since her surgery a month ago, she’s had continual nausea and vomiting. Soon she’ll be tube fed in hopes her colon can absorb some nutrients. Right now she’s so malnourished she’s getting..well, closer.

I enjoyed the day. Cold. Snowish. But I had my boys, little and big and we had pancakes out and a nice outing. Frank and I will do the date thing tonight and right now I am going to nap and try to destress.

Hope you are able to destress and maybe have a little fun. I will keep your mom in my thoughts.
