Jake and I are back from the meeting with the surgeon. He talked about what could done. He said that there were three things that he could possibly be done but that a lot would depend on what is found when he got in there and saw what was there. Well, I had figured that out that myself so we were on the same line there…

Nothing can be done immediately since I need a visit to a cardiologist. Again, nothing unexpected here. I have has surgery several times and it is always preceded by a cardiologist.

I like this doctor. We agree on a lot of things…

An emotion is only an emotion.

It’s just a small part of your whole being.

You are much more than your emotion.

An emotion comes, stays for a while, and goes away, just like a storm.

If you’re aware of that, you won’t be afraid of your emotions.

~Thich Nhat Hanh

If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. — Marcus Aurelius

I like a doctor who is straightforward and doesn’t treat you like an imbecile. That goes a long way toward building confidence.
