An Explanation…

I keep telling myself {and those of you who read what I write] that i am NOT going to write only about the putative cancer which is on my mind so much. Twice I have written about this and forgot to save the entries as private. Then when I saw notes {and I thank you} I re-saved as I originally intended. So, since someone asked me about the disappearing entries, that is the explanation.

So far today I have folded and put away clean clothes, and and precooked homemade chicken tenders. I will reheat them this evening, add mashed potatoes with cheese, add a vegetable and count this as one my promises-to-myself to cook a meal from {mostly} scratch at least twice a week. I have to confess I am out of potatoes so it will be instant potatoes but with cheese and onion added! Left to do today is to carry most of my recyclable stuff to the proper dumpster, and vacuum at least the floor of one room.

Talking about cooking reminds me that since I am not sleeping very well these days, I have breakfast at a very early hour which leads to lunch being very early too. Lunch was at 10:30 today, but then breakfast was at 5 AM!

I think it’s allowed to call instant potatoes real potatoes. Sometimes even cooking instant takes too much effort. I’ve never thought of adding onion, though cheese did occur to me. And sour cream.

I sed to LOVE the instant potatoes at school. The flavor was much better than my mother’s dry, lumpy, flavorless potatoes. So I think it qualifies. Adding onion and cheese sounds wonderful!

I am pretty sure that instant potatoes are real potatoes! :o) !! They taste good, anyway. For several years I made NO “instant” type foods, but I am back to doing it sometimes, because sometimes cooking everything from scratch is tiring, and I am TIRED. We are alike in the hours we keep. I was very surprised to see the use of instant potatoes on one of the America’s Test Kitchen episodes! They tend to do everything from scratch. RYN: I finished the new EG novel the other night, and promptly sat down to write a review of it, it was that strong in my memory. I kept thinking of you when I read the parts set in Lucca! The use of Italian really through me for a loop — I could (cont.)

figure out what the context was, but it was still off-putting. I do wish Isabelle Ardery would get taken out by a stray bullet or break her neck falling down the stairs. The roller derby at the start — it’s great! I am glad that the author is stretching herself a bit.

I had to look up “putative”! But I still don’t understand….are you waiting on test results to find out whether or not you have cancer? I sympathize. I think that would drive me insane, just about. (((((huuuuugggggsssss))))) Nicky

I also do loads of private entries about what’s on my mind – I find it helps me to work through things.

I too am very much fed up with OD and am also not to taken up with Prose Box. Wish this place would go back to what it used to be. Have you heard from your test results yet? Kind of worried that you haven’t written in several days. Hugs,M

I love instant potatoes. I’m not a huge fan of mashed potatoes so never want to take the time to make “real” ones. Instant potatoes taste just as good to me.

I hope you are managing okay lately. The radio silence is troubling me.
