Almost Easter*

  • Phone is still dead. I have decided I will give them until the "15 working days" are up. If it is not fixed by then, I will request a reimbursement of the money in my credit and separate myself from Virgin Mobile forever.
  • Fred and I always paid our rent on the 29th of each month even though it was not due until the first of the following month. This actually came from Fred and I went along with it. I am amused to find I am doing the same thing here. Tomorrow the office will be closed so I drove down to the office and paid it today. The person who took the check looked at me and seemed a little taken aback!
  • I have unpacked the Dyson vacuum. I will endeavor to put it together today.
  • I have been trying for my 10  PM going to bed time for two days. Last night it was 10:30. I have not made the goal of getting up at 7 AM yet. Both mornings it has been 8 AM which of course is actually 7 am before the clocks went forward! Still, 8 AM is a lot better than 10 or 11 AM which was the time I was sleeping until before.
  • It is sunny, chilly and windy here today.

Goals for today:

  • Start work on putting the Dyson together.
  • Put away the dishes I unloaded from the dishwasher this morning.
  • Make some polenta with sausage for one meal today.

Gratitudes:

  • polenta. {I love polenta.}
  • sunshine. Free vitamin D! Which reminds me I need to take my once-a-week vitamin D pill.
  • having enough money that I don’t need to wait until Social Security and/or my teacher retirement checks are deposited. I know very well what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck…

I like to pay things that have a penalty a day or two early b/c anything can happen and you have to pay the penalty. Once my Internet was down and I thought I was going to have to go to Kinkos and pay my bill but my Internet came back on. I don’t like to wait till the last minute.

We always pay things early..that way we know they will get the money in plenty of time. Yeah..I would separate myself from that phone company too…sounds like a big headache you don’t need! I can’t wait to hear about the Dyson..kind of jealous of you right now;) I have always wanted to try polenta…maybe I will pick some up this weekend and try it.

I always pay my credit cards the minute that my SS check is in the bank. I don’t want to have to pay a penny more in interest than I have to. I remember my uncle, who was a millionaire, always paying his bills right on the due date because he put all his money in savings and didn’t want to lose a penny of interest. I know all about living paycheck to paycheck! At least we have a paycheck. 🙂

I love putting things together! I wish we lived near each other…I’d run right over and do it for you!

i pay my bills the next day after i get them. my payments are always early. i’m thinking you need a new phone service. virgin mobile sounds like they have very poor customer service if it takes 15 working days to fix a problem. the sooner you’re away from them, the better. ask someone in the area who they have for cell service. some companies just don’t do so well in certain areas. take care,

if I remember correctly, it goes together pretty easy (I have an animal version as well) 🙂

It took me a while to trust online payments, but now I have some things on auto-pay. Of course I get reminder emails and “paid” emails to track, but it’s nice to know that I can “set it and forget it!” 🙂

I bet the person in the office was almost aghast!!! LOL I don’t know too many people who ever pay their rent early!! Hugs,M

I hope you are having a nice Easter 🙂
