Update with Smilies *
- I had a pretty good day yesterday in that things got done. Unfortunately, I seem to be at the point where I am moving piles of "stuff" from one place to another especially in the kitchen. The kitchen is empty of boxes except for one which contains cans of staples which I will empty as soon as the step stool arrives from Amazon. I don’t intend to actually put the staples on a top shelf. I am going to move something less essential from a low shelf to a high one so the staples can be where I can get to them easily. Also, I am sure there are kitchen boxes elsewhere because I still haven’t found my other crock pot.
- I am exercising my rights as an Officially Old Person Licensed to Talk about her Bowels when I say I am no longer constipated. And that’s enough about that!
- Still no car. And no information about where it is.
- I am hoping Jake can spare an hour or two to take me grocery shopping today. Hmmm, maybe if I bribe him with a trip to a good restaurant… I don’t want to give anyone the impression that he is reluctant to help me. If anything, I am reluctant to ask. He is a good person and does many things for me before I ask. Anyway, we talked about this before I moved. I pointed out I will need a lot of help from him at first and he understands that. But I have every intention on being as independent as I can as soon as I can and for as long as I can!
- One thing I need to do fairly soon is to locate a local drug store and get my prescriptions transferred. I am going to need my prescription eye drops in a week or so. Hmm, maybe I can do this by phone…
- I NEED my car!
Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers}
isn’t it amazing how much we depend on our cars!

I hope they get your car to you soon. That can and must be frustrating! I sooo need a step stool but for some reason Elton keeps insisting that I need a ladder. LOL We have such few cabinets here. One of the few things I don’t like about our new house. BUT, if we ever get our contents check we plan on fixing that problem. It sounds like you are settling in nicely. Did you find your pillows? Hugs,M

You really do need your car! I sure hope it arrives tomorrow!! I don’t mind asking for help sometimes, but I like having the choice of going on my own, too. Jake sounds like a great son, though. I love how he helps without your even asking so much of the time. :o) !! hugs, Nicky

That’s a bit worrying about the car – hope it turns up soon! Glad everything else is working out relatively straightforward 😀

I hope that car (and the crock pot) will show up soon.

Perhaps you’ll be able to get some information on your car tomorrow, during normal business hours. The horrible cold and ice storms have probably affected the delivery. (Temperatures that cold can cuase the diesel fuel in vehicles to actually turn to a gel, making the vehicle inoperable until tempratures warm up.)

I hope your car comes soon…but at least you found your utensils!
