This is an Entry

You just would not believe how COMPLICATED it is to try to book plane tickets on line when you are trying to do the following:

  • go from home to place A.Stay at place A 2 weeks.
  • Go from place A to place B. Stay at place B for two weeks
  • Go from place B back home.

Anyway, I finally got it done so that is my Christmas and New Year taken care of!

Today is the day I am supposed to get my own internet connection. It is supposed to be done "before 5 am." I would not, given past history, bet money on this.

I did a Scrooge act re Halloween this year. I turned off my outside lights and retreated to the back room. I could hear my neighbor upstairs running up and down the stair when the children were knocking on his door. Fred and I always used to get candy in for the kids but it was because he wanted to do it.

I hope I will be able to get my actual date for moving sorted out over the new year. I will be sorry to move from a place I love and where I have been for 14 years,  but I am pretty sure this is something I NEED to do.

I still have gold fingernails and the more I look at them, the more I like them! I am going out for lunch with Diane today so it will be interesting to see if she notices!

Well, I suppose I had better go and connect the new modem to the computer and the router to the new modem just in case something gets done today..

Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers)

EVERYTHING seems to be complicated nowadays – nothing seems simple any more. Or am I just getting older and crankier? :¬)

Getting my new modem and router installed on time was the only thing that went smooth with At & T last month. I’m still battling them on billing! Hope yours goes smooth and on time!

I think when Comcast raises their rates on me again next year, I’ll just cut them off and get one of those wireless router thingies that you can get from various companies for $40 or $50 a month. It might be worth it. T and I can operate off our cell phones and do away with the house phone. Save money in the long run. Maybe.

I like that you have gold fingernails. :o) !! And I’m still sad for you that you have to move from Vermont. What a change it will be! But I know you will enjoy being near your son and his cats. And there are interesting things to see and do, and interesting people to meet, in pretty much all places, and you will find them! I find most things complicated some days, so I sympathize about the plane tickets. Did you finally get them, though? And where are you going? Where is Place A and Place B? hugs, Nicky

ryn~I thought about going to a tanning bed. That’s helped in the past.

I totally understand the frustration in trying to book flights online that aren’t a simple one-way or round-trip purchase. I’m glad you were able to get things booked. I hope your internet was installed on time and that your friend notices your new nail color. I like gold polish 🙂
