Update

  • You are all SO right. I need time for myself. Yesterday I told Fred I have a doctor’s appointment today at 11 am. When I actually looked at the calendar, it is at 4 pm so I could have gone to see him today and then on to the doctor–but I didn’t. I slept late and did nothing today and will be going to the doctor later this afternoon. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the eye doctor at 11 am so I will go and then go on to the rehab place to see him for a couple of hours. And on Thursday, I will be having lunch with him since it is Thanksgiving. I just got a phone call setting me up with a colonoscopy on February  2nd. I will be receiving a package of instructions the scheduler said. Oh, joy!
  • This morning I found myself chatting on Facebook with my younger son. We were discussing Amazon Wish Lists and the  Kindle Fire. He has one; I want {note, not need!} one…
  • A long time ago, I started painting a pair of sandals for a friend. She told me to use any colors I liked so they have their first coat of purple, red, orange and a little bit of gold and black. After I got the first coat on, then came all these problems Fred and I have been and, to some extent, are still going through, and so I have done no more on them. She doesn’t need them until the summer but I have decided I will throw in a wooden bracelet in the same colors as both an apology for keeping them so long, and a lagniappe! If you are interested in painting or stamping wooden bangles, there is a good site here.

Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.

Him getting one has increased my desire for one!! He was joking with me yesterday about how I will NOT dress as a ninja and steal his. 🙂

working on those sandals/bracelet will be good, calming restful therapy as well.

You are right to take care of yourself too. Taking care of others is tiring work and you will be no use to Fred if you are worn out. Painting bangles and sandals? You amaze me…:-) And inspire me! I really fancy trying that.

The decorative painting will no doubt be fun for you, and you need fun. Not to mention rewarding!
