Enter Deep Sigh Here

  • The computers in this house are driving me mad! The IMac can’t find Fred. {Ummm, our network connection is called Fred!} But the Mac laptop jumped on board immediately. In fact, that is what I am using now.  I haven’t checked the two PC laptops but I suspect they will find the signal, too. I will check after I am through here. I was verging on serious annoyance by the time I had enough sense to check this machine. *I really NEEDED to check the bank because of the canceled card…
  • Oh, have I mentioned the fact that I was called the day before yesterday and asked if I had a Mastercard ending in XXXX? Apparently, someone had the number and ordered a laptop to be delivered in California! Anyway, I went straight up to the bank and had the card canceled and will get a new one in a few days. Then I had to go to Amazon and change that card number to one of my other accounts… {insert deep sigh}
  • Fred is going from the rehab place on Friday to a urologist. The people at the rehab place want me to go too. The urologist is at the hospital. The hospital is notorious for having HUGE areas between departments. I cannot walk long distances… You see the problem? I told Fred I expect there will be two wheelchairs being pushed to the Urology department!
  • I am waiting for a phone call from the people who were supposed to have fixed this IMac problem… They are aware that I am only here until noon and then I head out to see Fred… But I will call them before I leave.
  • * Why, yes! There ARE twice as many computers as there are people in this house….

breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.

It amazes me how easily crooks get our identity information. Three times as many computers as people in this house. And only one of them work correctly.

What Fred needs is a motorized wheelchair! And there should be a little extension on the back for you to ride on when you need to! :o) !! I sympathize about the computer AND the credit card troubles! hugs, Nicky

You and Fred are very technologically savvy. I think having a WRAP plan for what you want done if you can’t make decisions for yourself would be an excellent idea. You might want to consider appointing someone as your power of attorney for health care, too.

Yep I’m up to 3 times as many as well although I hadn’t realised it! If it’s not one thing it’s another eh? Keeps us all on our toes! Mum has the same problem with the hospital in Inverness – always dreads the thought of going because of the length of time and energy it takes to get ANYWHERE …… and of course she scorns the chairs …… – “they’re for OLD people” (she’s 91!) :¬)

The hospital should have one of those whatcamacallits that you stand on and ride around on with the big wheels…dang, I can’t remember what they’re called. Anyway they would sure come in handy for people who can’t walk great distances. I wonder why you need to be at the urologist.

Ah, NickyWoodsprite…you crack me up. I immediately pictured a motorized scooter with a SIDE CAR! LOL!

I have twice as many TV’s in my house as I do people. That’s so wrong, isn’t it?! LOL

I understand that frustration as I have two laptops yet the big one with most of my history and photos no longer will go online. I generally use this wee notebook now. That quote from kaherine Hepburn is well said. I get fed up with people who constantly blame their upbringing or parents for all their mistakes and circumstances. hugs P
