Stuff

  • If you don’t add yeast to the ingredients in your bread maker, the loaf doesn’t rise. You can believe me when I say  this…
  • The time of my first art class and the installation of the new dishwasher tomorrow have clashed so I am staying home and will make up the class at the end of the six weeks. Teresa {the instructor} is very flexible about this.
  • Fred is having some health problems he hasn’t had before.  I don’t want to discuss the details, but one symptom he had has improved a lot and he is having help from visiting nurses. He is also scheduled to see his doctor on Tuesday, but, not, alas, at the house. {I can remember when doctors came to the house…}
  • I am sitting here eating potato chips. I just had supper.
  • I am on a "The West Wing" DVD marathon. I am just starting the second year. This will be followed by "Upstairs, Downstairs."

breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.

"We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers – but never blame yourself. It’s never your fault. But it’s always your fault, because if you wanted to change you’re the one who has got to change." — Katherine Hepburn

West Wing is one of my favourites, hands down. It was such a smart programme, and I loved it for the fact that it never once talked down to the audience.

So….if you don’t add yeast, you make flatbread? :o) !! I’m sorry Fred’s been having more health problems. It’s good having visiting nurses to come and help, even though doctors don’t make house calls anymore! hugs, Nicky

it would be nice to have doctors make housecalls again. sometimes, you’re just too sick to go to the doctor’s office. glad that one symptom is better for fred. and i’m glad the visiting nurses are helping. take care,

I hope things go better for Fred. My son got a breadmaker and had pretty good luck. Then he brought a loaf over for us and it was like a rock!! He said it was something to do with the gluten….
