A Tiny Update
A strange thing happened this evening. I am rewatching "Prime Suspect" with the amazing Helen Mirren and I had got to the sixth pair of DVDs. I put the first DVD in and waited. And waited some more but nothing happened. I pressed the eject key but nothing happened. I turned off the computer and turned it on again with my finger on the eject key which usually pops out any DVD that is stuck and nothing happened. Eventually I figured out there was no DVD in there at all and I found the disk at the back of my desk, but, you know, I would have bet anyone real money I had put it in! But apparently not. Anyway, there was nothing wrong with the player and it was not eating DVDs!*
I have recently bought the Gelli Arts gel printing plate {the link will take you to a YouTube video}and I am going to take it to K.’s house tomorrow and play with it. It looks like a lot of fun. Since I am going to be there two hours, I am also going to take my fabric paints and pens and a pair of white shoes which I bought for the express reason of painting them! Then, I will bring them home and set the paint on the shoes in the dryer –hot for about 20 minutes! I am seriously considering doing one in blues and the other in greens!
* Oh! I just saw what happened! Apparently when I put the DVD in the slot, it popped out again and the disk fell at the back of the table. I know this because I just pressed the eject key after I had finished watching, and there it went again! It didn’t just just come half out. The whole disk popped all the way out and landed at the back of the desk! Well, I am so glad I didn’t imagine that I put it in the slot! {My computer is an IMac with the DVD access on the side of the monitor.}
"We don’t just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." – Booker T. Washington.
"We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers – but never blame yourself. It’s never your fault. But it’s always your fault, because if you wanted to change you’re the one who has got to change." — Katherine Hepburn
Gelli printing looks like fun!

That’s funny how your computer pops the DVDs out like a toaster might send the bread flyin’. I’m glad you found that out! :o) !! hugs, Nicky

Sounds like the eject mechanism is a touch too forceful. 🙂 Hope the disc didn’t get damaged or scratched in the incident.

I’m glad I’m not the only one obsessed with finding out the reason behind the “why” when I’m bumfuzzled!

ryn: Lavender is good for all kinds of things! I used it last night on some mosquito bites. I’m allergic to them, and get huge welts that itch for DAYS. This morning, I’m not feeling them at all. It’s good for burns. It’s good for calming to help you sleep. It rejuvenates you when you feel tired and worn-out. Mostly it’s a “balancer.” My friend Michelle gets good results for her psoriasis. It’s one of those oils that everyone keeps on hand who uses oils for things.
