Second Entry!
I FOUND my cell phone and it was…
All together, now… "In the car." Just like the last time I lost it! Since I have now changed purses, I think I will have less trouble. The purse I put away is long and thin {designed so that stuff can fall to the bottom} and although it does have pockets for phones, etc. they are near the top where the zippers I tend to leave open are found! The one I am carrying now has an inside pocket for the phone which has a flap closure. Incidentally, I am not one of those people who has a matching purse for every outfit. I wasn’t even that person when I HAD outfits when I was teaching! I did always have earrings and shoes that were a little more formal than the ones I wear now though, but I always carried the same purse which was some neutral color like black or brown and was big enough to carry all the grading I took home with me. These days, all I require of my purse is to have a cross-body strap and a pocket big enough for my Kindle!
There is an unopened Amazon box sitting in my art room. I am pretty sure it is the GPS which I decided I needed. So, why haven’t I opened it? Well, I tried this once before maybe a year ago. I bought one, looked at the directions and sent it back. Back then, I was so apathetic that I thought I couldn’t set it up. These days, thanks to the SAD light and making sure I get out for some REAL sunlight when it shows up here in Vermont I am, well, not full of energy but at least I DO have some energy and ambition. What has kept me from opening the box is the fear that I will fail with this thing again, but today, thinking about it, I realized that I CAN do it, and if I find I have a problem, I can ask for help. Back in the days when I was the invisible child who had to be perfect, I did a lot of damage to my self esteem, and although there has been a huge improvement, I still relapse sometimes and give up before I even try. The reason I am not opening the box right now is that I have no energy and little intelligence at the end of the day. Before I go to bed tonight, I will put the box on my keyboard and and, hopefully, get it installed tomorrow. And if I run into any problems, well, as my father used tell me, "You’ve got a tongue in your head! Ask for help!"
I had a small slice of the lemon pie with cream with my evening meal. So far, everything is good!
What I want to do tomorrow:
- Sort out the GPS .
- Work some more on the three pieces of art I have going. It really works for me to have more than one piece to work on. I have also done a lot more on the papier machè person. {You notice I also remembered how to insert the è! I used to use that particular one a lot when I was writing in Italian!}
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Yum. Anything with lemon. Yum.

Okay, step one: Take it out of the box and hook it up to whatever you need to hook it up to, to get the battery charged. Otherwise, you won’t be doing ANYTHING with it tomorrow. Just sayin’…..

About the cell phone, do you wear pants or jeans? I have learned from bitter experience that I do best carrying my phone in my pocket. It’s easy to find, easy to get to, and I don’t miss any calls because I’m groping for my phone in the bottom of my bag. As a matter of fact, since I started carrying it in my pocket, I leave my purse in the car most of the time. I don’t need my purse with me 24/7.

Good for you on finding your phone, again! I thought I lost the charger for mine because I couldn’t get it inserted earlier and I tried it a number of times. Tonight it went in easily.

I’m glad you found your cell phone again! ;o) !! And good luck with the GPS. I am like that when it comes to new technology stuff. I’m SURE I won’t be able to figure it out, so I tell Joe to read the manual and then show me how to use it. I realize that this is not a good thing; if I didn’t have Joe to do this, I’d be “up sh__ creek without a paddle”! I think in my case it comes from my Momalways trying to convince me that I wouldn’t be able to do things. hugs, Nicky

Good for you, finding your cell phone again! I’ve always carried one purse all the time….just changing seasonally. I can’t imagine having to move important stuff back and forth from one purse to another all the time!
