This Is a Title
- Today I actually got the fully-charged battery into the camera and played around with the it. So, tomorrow, after I go to the grocery store, I will try taking some pictures of my paintings. I know I said I had four to put up but actually, I am not satisfied with one. It needs something but I don’t know what. I know with all of them I have gone mad with gold and bronze paint. None of them are up on the walls as yet, but, they will be.
- I got two loads of laundry done today. Washed, dried and put away! And, as I said, the chief job for tomorrow will be groceries. We are out of bagels {for me} and light cream for Fred’s coffee. You know, I find it interesting that since the horrid gastritis session, I have {a} not gone back to coffee and {b} am still not interested in television. I am drinking tea in the morning and in the afternoon. My mother and my aunt were both Irish and I can imagine them both raising their eyebrows at my tea. I like weak tea with milk and no sugar. What I do after the tea has reached the color I prefer, is to put my teabag into Fred’s cup with his teabag. He likes strong tea.
- I am rewatching Star Trek Enterprise. It seems to make a bit more sense now I am not watching it on TV. When I was watching it on television, it seemed to me to be shot in a very dark studio! I had a lot of difficulty figuring out what was going on! But now I watching it at my own speed and with captions, I can see that I was just unfortunate in getting the few dark episodes on TV. Captions are my friend. {And if I can ever find the changer for the TV in the bedroom, I will turn captions on there, too. Well, that is if I ever get back to watching TV!}
I am grateful for:
- The King’s Singers
- the fact that the snow should stopping tonight and we are supposed to have some sun tomorrow.
- Dory Previn’s songs on "Mythical Kings and Iguanas." I am listening to "The Game."
"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."

Along with my meat hiatus, I’m on cable hiatus right now too and enjoying Netflixing shows I haven’t seen before. I really like doing that at my own speed. It’s nice nit worrying if I’m going to miss an episode… Which means I’ve led a charmed life, I’d say, if my worries include things like tv shows. I love tea and milk… But I do like it strong strong strong.

We are the opposite in our house. I like very strong tea and G likes his very weak.

I woke this morning to snow and was terribly disappointed by the lack of springtime here. Sigh. So — you don’t have your tea ‘strong enough for a mouse to trot on’ as my granny would have said.

To me even strong tea doesn’t taste very strong. I started drinking tea when we moved to England back in 1989, and drank it until I found out that most of my British friends actually drank coffee instead! Then I became a coffee drinker….and I’d really not drunk much coffee ’til then! hugs, Nicky

You’ve reminded me of my grandmother….we always had tea at her house, and after each of us was done with our teabag, she’d take it and plop it in her cup… Can’t wait to see your paintings. I do so love them! ~M

You know, Enterprise got such a bad rap. I really kind of enjoyed it when it was on. And I like the theme song. Heh.

I like strong tea but hate the way it stains my teeth! When we lived in North Carolina, Paul developed a liking for sweetened iced tea….but I think it tastes awful.
