Another List

  • I have discovered another great thing about my Kindle. I always leave it plugged in to recharge on my bedside table at night so I have been clipping the Mighty Brite reading light to it before I go to sleep. I have been going through a period of waking up and not being able to sleep recently and it has been really great to reach over, turn on the reading light, which doesn’t disturb Fred, {he calls it "the ghost light }and be able to read myself to sleep as I did last night.
  • I am making myself a Things I Need from Walmarts list and it is getting quite long. I may go there today but I need to clean up the kitchen first, especially the floor.
  • Another small chore I will do today is to shred all the bank account statements. I really wish there was an "opt out of paper statements" choice from our bank as there is with American Express and with ING. We don’t need paper statements since we can {and DO} monitor our statements often on line.
  • The phone and the answering machine are right here on my computer desk and we have the ring-tone up as high as it will go so we can hear from other places in the house. Unfortunately, since I am right by it, I almost always am startled by it! This is what happened a moment ago. Our phone is ALWAYS answered by the machine and everyone we want to hear from is told to give their name and one of us will pick up if we are there.
  • Ok, off to do the chores and then, perhaps to do a little shopping.

there might be an online statement option with your bank. The big banks usually have that option, I would ask the customer service line, or next time you are in the bank, ask a banker (not a teller, alot of the time they don’t know all the options).

I have the same problem. I do all my banking on line with a large bank but there is no opt out for the paper statements.

Hehe. The primary phone at work usually startles me if I’m near it. I keep the extension in my office on low volume.

ryn: thank you Patricia. Its lovely to see how much you enjoy you kindle.
