A Sunday Entry

Last night Fred and I went to the diner for our evening meal. We really haven’t done that for a long time. In fact the lady at the register commented that she hadn’t seen us for a while. It was a very nice outing and not only because we treated ourselves to a strawberry sundae which we shared for dessert.

I am quite looking forward to the rollout of the new OD version which is due, in case you don’t read the Diarymaster, on Monday. I can only hope that it doesn’t  cause a breakdown of the system! Another thing I am getting excited about is Kindle 2 which is due to arrive on my doorstep on the 25th which will be next Wednesday.  There has been a lot of excitement on the Kindle Boards about this with people constantly checking the status of their order. I have to admit that my heart skipped a beat when I saw the status of my order was "shipping soon." I have Amazon Prime which means that my orders are shipped second day but I upped it to one day shipping a week or so ago. It was only an extra $4 which I was very willing to pay for getting my Kindle a day earlier.  This is the one {in case you don’t remember since I have only said it –oh, 50 million times } that will read to me while I am walking on the treadmill. I will report on Kindle 2 when I have had it a few days. Kindle 1 is going to Fred to try out and if he decides he doesn’t want it, I have a list!

We  have what they are referring to as "light" snow. When it stops, I will go out and clean off the cars. I am pleased with myself because I have done very well in not letting the snow pile up on the cars as I did last year!

Ok, I hear Fred getting up so it is time to pour coffee.

I hope the new e-book lives up to expectations.

I’m excited for you with your new Kindle, I’m sure you’ll love it! I am not planning on upgrading mine until I have to, my Kindle 1 serves me quite well. On the other hand (as you might know already) mine developed a display issue on Friday and they’re sending me a replacement. I’m expecting it to be another Kindle 1… I know they stopped selling the Kindle 1 but I would imagine they kept a supply in reserve for situations such as mine. I’ll be shocked if they send me a Kindle 2. But it will be ok, either way. Can’t wait to hear how you like yours!

We had a bit of snow today, but happily the roads weren’t affected. I am ready for springtime!

I’m glad you went out to your Diner again. Going out to eat is such a treat! Joe and I are always too full for dessert…. but yet I always want one. I must get him to share one with me, and make sure we both save a LITTLE bit of room for it. :o) !! hugs, Nicky

It is so nice to have a meal out and not have to cook. I have my password for OD written out in case there is a major mess changing over. I was in a panic the last time when the passwords all had to be changed and I could not access my journal! I just get this OD version figured out, and now I’ll have to relearn everything!

yummy, strawberry sundaes! Well, I’ve watched the video and am very excited but I’ve paranoidly backed everything up because you never know!

It will READ TO YOU? Oh, that’s cool – I guess I missed that somewhere. My friend Mattie is also getting a Kindle 2, and I was really wondering why someone would want it over Kindle 1. This is a good reason!! 🙂
