Things Getting Done

I left all the housecleaning until today instead of starting yesterday which was my original intention so it was quite a long job today. However, bless his heart, Fred very helpfully vacuumed the living room floor for me which was BIG help. And now the house looks very nice. Of course, some of the piles are still here but they are TIDY piles and that really does make a difference! My sister used to straighten a couple of piles of stuff every night before she went to bed and she said it always made her feel better in the morning!

I carried some trash out this morning and the red bin {non-recyclables} is almost full. Since Monday, which is our pickup day, is a holiday I am wondering what we are going to do if there isn’t a pickup and we have to wait another week. Fred tells me not to worry about these things because it isn’t my responsibility and he is right.

We had a day of rain earlier in the week which reduced the snow quite a lot. But it is still cold. Right now it is 23 degrees and will drop to 13 tonight. Tomorrow it will be sunny but cold. The high is supposed to be around 25 degrees. {I have a little weather doohicky at the bottom of my screen which tells me all this stuff!}

I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow…

if our pick up day falls on a holiday they just come the next business day. Actually I think its that way when ever there is a holiday during the week, everyone’s pick up day gets moved back a day. But thats just here, I don’t know if its the same there.

Love those weather doohickys.

Just curious. I put your “Ancora Imparo” through the Italian to English translator and came up with “Yet Pick up”. What is your proper translation?

In my neighborhood, if garbage day falls on a holiday, it just gets postponed a day.

Gunther vacuumed here, too. Isn’t it lovely?

At least the cold won’t make the trash smell. I find that doing laundry, floors, and dishes makes a place instantly cleaner….oh the bathrooms, too.

I always love it when you share some of your sister’s pearls of wisdom with us. She definitely had life ALL figured out! :o) !! Yesterday Joe finally went for his massage I got him the gift certificate for, for Christmas. He loved it! But guess what? The gift card was for a one-hour massage and he just got a half-hour massage and saved the other half-hour’s worth for ME! :o) !! I am so tickled! :o) !! hugs, Nicky
