Getting Up to Date

I am not doing well at updating but basically it is because I am not doing anything! Yesterday I spent most of the day on my bed reading. Today I will probably do a bit more but perhaps not because I am going to watch bits and pieces of the inauguration. This is a big step for me because I seldom watch television during the day and usually I sedulously avoid politics. But I think today is an important day and I want to be a part of it. This doesn’t mean, of course, that I will watch the "talking heads." I really dislike talking heads– but I will listen to President Obama whom I admire.

I finally got my postponed massage last Sunday, and, believe me, I was totally ready for it. I had a sore spot by my right shoulder blade, a muscle pull from trying to carry a 25 pound bag of wild bird feed with one hand. When I left after the massage, it was totally gone, and although I could feel it again yesterday it was much reduced. This morning, it is just an occasional twinge.

Ok, I am off to put a load of clothes in the washing machine; I may even go for a walk around the block in the snow later although I promise nothing. It is snowing lightly and I enjoy walking in the snow…

I too am only going to watch bits and pieces!!! Nothing wrong with laying around and reading all day! In fact, it sounds like a good idea to me!!!!! Hugs,M

I want to go walking in the snow! It’s always so lovely…. I will see if I can watch the inauguration online at all

The older I get, the less patience I have for the “talking heads”, but I haven’t gotten to the point where I don’t watch them (yet). I envy you that massage, glad it helped you feel better!

I always thought that a massage was beneficial and now you proved it. Have a relaxing day. Who says we always have to be busy?

After 11 years in Las Vegas, I miss having snow to walk in. I was clever(?) enough to be out of town for the biggest snowfall in something like 50 years last month. Enjoy it!

I wish more people understood the benefits of massage like you do.

I think his speech was good. Not as good as some of his past speeches. But still good.

It’s suppossed to get down to 30 here tonight~ Can you believe that? It will be like being back in CT!!! I’m sure all the FL folks will show up for work in the morning in winter coats and boots complete with hats and mittens! I should take pictures! LOve to you! ~M

Yes, the Talking Heads talked too much, as usual. The inauguration speech was excellent, though.
