Treadmill Delivery Time!
I have been on a rampage against spiders these last few days because I am thinking that what was biting me was spiders. I am not scared of spiders but I don’t want to share my clothing, bed and even rooms with them if they are going to bite. Yesterday I cleaned out the corner where I want to treadmill to go. I broke down the empty boxes and moved the ones that contain "stuff" to another place. I was diligent about putting out the recyclables yesterday because trash pickup is today. However, I looked out this morning and although the landlord has put out the non-recyclables, he hasn’t touched the boxes I put there! The trash can is full and I have some piled on the top. I have a few more boxes to put out this week, but that is his problem and not mine. If he doesn’t put them out on the sidewalk early Monday mornings, they don’t get picked up.
Anyway, the good news is that the mover man actually called ME this morning! He was full of apologies and said they had a three-day weekend because of a death in the family. I thought that I would be more inclined to believe that if he has changed his answering machine message to reflect that, but I said nothing except, "Oh, I am so sorry to hear that." Anyway, we discussed times and money, and the bottom line is that TOMORROW my treadmill will be picked up from the store, brought out here and set up sometime between 10 and 11:30 am. I was so excited that I almost forgot to give him the address!
Changing the subject completely, I refilled the prescription for the generic drug I take for the GIRD symptoms some time last week but I lost the bottle! I have been searching in all the likely places and in a few of the unlikely places but wherever it is, I can’t find it. However, I have noticed that the indigestion symptoms haven’t come back so I am not worrying overmuch. If it was the blood pressure pills I would have been up at the pharmacy immediately getting another refill.
The temperature is 46 and mostly cloudy so as as soon as finish here, I am off for a short walk. Until later…

I thought the “cleaning out the corner where the treadmill will go” story was going to end with a nest of spiders! I hope you find the one that bit you and squashed him flat!

Yay for the treadmill. It was 41 degrees in NYC this morning. Now it’s in the 60’s I’d guess. I cannot figure out what to wear!

Thank you for your comment on my linguistic issues. That is a very interesting take. Even though I add to the degradation of language myself, when I notice examples of it, I find it somehow frustrating.
