Today

  •  Finally, we have hot water.  It isn’t dangerously hot as it used to be but it is hot enough to have a nice shower which is what I took this morning.
  • I have just finished reading Nefertiti by Michelle Moran on my Kindle. It is one of the books where I downloaded a free sample and got hooked. Well worth reading.
  • Today I bought a treadmill. Now I have to get in touch with the people who will deliver it and put it together.
  • I also have to clean out the corner where I plan putting it. This is the corner of the dining room where I usually have the Christmas tree…
  • Before I had hip surgery, I gave blood regularly. I had surgery in June of last year and have given no blood since. However, the Red Cross are still calling me and asking me to give. It is a good cause and I have a needed blood group, {AB Positive} but I have been doing this in various parts of the county for about forty years.  Enough is enough…
  • I have a massage tomorrow….

What did you think of Nefertiti? I wasn’t too happy with it, but then, I’ve been reading everything that I can get my hands on about that part of the world ever since I was young, so maybe I just know too much about the subject… Glad to hear you have hot water back — having to do without for several days must have been maddening.

That’s a lot of blood. Can’t you ask them to remove your name from their list because of medical concerns? Or do they just ignore your requests?

Our pharmacy is holding a blood drive on the 30th. I am thinking about donating but with all the meds I’m on I am not sure I can. I know that when I was on steroids there was no way I could. Yay for getting a treadmill!!!! Oh, and a nice hot shower!! Hugs,M

I used to give blood regularly. Then one time I had a bad experience – no more – unless it’s to bank for my own surgery (if and when)

Is Nefertiti a historical fiction about…. Nefertiti? If so I might like it. I want to learn more about the ancient Egyptians, and I think a lot of historical fiction is very informative! I’m so glad you have hot water now. :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I used to give blood back in my 20’s but when I had Jake I dropped so much weight (under 110 lbs) they wouldn’t let me give anymore. Imagine that? Anyway…not that I’ve gained back those 25 lbs maybe I should look into it again. I’ll take over for you 🙂

I want a home treadmill! I always feel I’m somebody’s little pet rodent when I run on the treadmill, but it’d be so convenient to have one at home.
