What I Am Doing Today

I knew I had an appointment with the doctor who fixed my hip last year SOME time this month but learned from a message on the answering machine last night that it is actually tomorrow! {I had the date on the calendar on the other machine, the Win 98 one that hit the dust some time ago} The only worrying thing is how long it is going to take me to get there. I have to cross the bridge between my little town and Burlington. This is a four lane bridge normally but repairs have just been started and now it is down to a two lane bridge. The appointment is at 9:45 am and normally it takes, oh, fifteen minutes max to get out there. I am definitely going early because of the bridge but if I am too early, I can, thanks to the Kindle,  sit in their parking lot and read…

This morning I have not yet walked but since I am doing laundry. I am going to count the going up and down the stairs trips as the walking today, although I am not totally saying I am not going to walk a little bit when all this laundry stuff is finished…   I have washed and put away all the white clothing and now the machine is washing the sheets and the other machine is drying the permapress clothes.

I made it all the way through yesterday without a nap even though I had only four hours sleep the night before. Last night I did remember to take an Ativan just in case my mind wanted to do the racing around stuff again. I put out the light about 11 pm and slept all the way through to 9:30 this morning. I hope I will be back to my usual pattern of falling asleep about midnight and waking up about 7:30 routine tomorrow morning.

Even if I get to my doctors appointments I still have to wait.

I would probably leave 45 minutes early “just in case” and then sit there for 30 minutes waiting. I don’t know why I’m so anal about that. LOL! At least you have your nice Kindle!

That racing around stuff is keeping me awake also. Oddly I am napping less. Going to sleep earlier and awake for three to four hours in the middle of the night, but no afternoon naps. Hope the appointment goes smoothly.

I hate it when you can’t sleep or sleep well. Take care of you and I hope the DR’s appointment goes well. My mom is now at the point where she doesn’t have to see the doctor for a year. Take care.
