A Lazy Weekend

I was supposed to have a massage yesterday but on Friday night, Beth called me to tell me she was in hospital. I assumed that it was something respitory since the last massage date had been canceled because she had a cold but she said it wasn’t that. However, she didn’t seem to want to elaborate so I asked no questions. So, the new date is next Saturday.

I have had lots of good intentions for this weekend  but basically, have got nothing done. Well, no, I did get laundry done, I think. It is odd that I can’t specifically remember which day, but one load of laundry is much like another load, isn’t it? I also took a short walk up to the drugstore for Fred’s insulin yesterday.

Today has pretty well been a waste of time if one is judging productivity. I spent most of the day reading and I also took an after lunch nap! Fred was pretty productive today in that he roasted a chicken and made mashed potatoes and gravy to go with it.

Ok, I will do better tomorrow…

Sunday is for resting. So you done good! But I certainly understand the “unproductive = wasted” train of thought.

Hey, sometimes you need to take a day off. Chicken and mash sounds pretty good, actually.

I don’t set great store by productivity…. cuz we don’t really need to, once we’re retired from work and our kids are done being raised! That’s the joy of being older and having those things done! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

Rest is healing for the body. Reading is healing for the mind.

that’s the perfect way to spend a sunday. take care,

I’ll agree that there’s nothing wasteful about a good rest. You’re more productive whilst working if you rest well during your down time.
