Computer Info and Shopping

This morning, I I called the computer place where I left my IMac to be repaired. They are "waiting for a part!" As an aside here, have you ever called ANY repair place and NOT been told they are waiting for a part? It think that must be repair-place shorthand for "Well, we actually haven’t done ANYTHING on your car/computer/whatever, but now you have called, we’ll get on it!" The person I talked to said if the part they are waiting for comes in today, there is a good chance they will get the repair done by tomorrow! Hmmm! Anyone want to take bets on if I get the IMac back tomorrow? I love my little Mac book but I am getting annoyed at it being the only computer I have! Actually, now I have got it down on my desk in the place where the keyboard is supposed to go and got the track ball plugged in so I don’t have to use the touch pad, it isn’t really all that bad. But there will still be fireworks, street dancing and world-wide rejoicing when I get the IMac back!

Today I went to the Big Box stores and bought some things for myself. I got two tops with longer sleeves ready for the fall and a short sleeved one that was on sale and too good a price to turn down! I bought some maple syrup for Fred {I don’t actually like maple syrup because it is too sweet} and a few bits and pieces I thought I needed {like Milk Duds} and some I really needed like shampoo! Then I came home and sat outside reading for a while. I am going to miss that when the snow comes!

This evening we are going up to the diner for supper and I am beginning to get hungry!

Until later…

Hopefully, it will be awhile before the snow starts flying! I hope your iMac is ready tomorrow! I don’t think I’d hold my breath though. LOL

Here’s hoping your computer is ready tomorrow!!!! Hugs, M

When snow comes, you could build a little fire and sit outside reading in your eskimo clothes! :o) !! I bet your computer will not be done by tomorrow, but surely will be done by the end of this week. SURELY!! :oO !! I bought some stuff today too, and am especially happy that I found I was able to order the books I need for my Psychopomp class from Amazon, and pay by check! Some online places only let a person use credit cards! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I talked to somebody today who got snowed on over the weekend at his parents’ cabin high up in the mountains. WAAAAAA! I don’t want it to snow yet! I think it’s amusing that you’re slightly annoyed at only having one computer at your disposal. Who would have thought of saying that 10 years ago?

i hope it’s not til the new year when the snow flies!!! we had enough snow last year to last me a lifetime!! take care,

It think that must be repair-place shorthand for “Well, we actually haven’t done ANYTHING on your car/computer/whatever, but now you have called, we’ll get on it!” I think you’re right about that!

Hope you get your computer back tomorrow.

I keep my old computer in the attic in the event of an emergency….I would be lost without it.

I don’t even want to think about snow! The older I get, the less I like it. Very aggrivating about the computer, and you’ve pegged it right about the verbal shorthand that fixers use.

Maple syrup is delicious. Not very readily available here though – well, not the best stuff anyhow.
