A Lazy Day!

I have spent most  of today sitting out in the shade on this lovely day reading a book on my Kindle. Hmmm, in my Kindle? There has been sunshine and a cool breeze.

When I wasn’t sitting outside, I was walking outside. I took my camera out with me this morning and got some interesting shots of apples and roses–not together of course but in two different places. If I can find out where they are on the Mac Book, I may try putting some up here later. Then this afternoon, I took my music and walked around the block. it is almost half a mile so tomorrow, I am planning to do it twice thus walking almost a mile! This is, of course, with a stick!

A few days ago, I bought a pair of jeans that I didn’t try on before I brought them home and when I got them home, I realized that I had picked up a pair that were 14 tall. Now, I AM tall but my height is not in my legs; I normally get an average, but today I tried them on. Yes, they are longer than I usually wear but I don’t dislike that. I may continue wearing 14 talls. Of course, if I wore high heels, these would be perfect but one of the many joys of retirement is no high heels, no skirts and no panty hose EVER  again!

Until later…

Well, I know you’re online right now. Size 14? Not since I was about 16. *smile*

You sound like you’re enjoying this beautiful weather!

If I put on a tall jean the waistband would most definintely have to be around my neck. LOL!

No panty hose. . .how much longer until I retire? *grin*

Oh you are so right about retirement! Especially panty hose…

I have to wear talls so that the jeans come down to my shoes. I always feel they are too short other wise. I am not that tall at five feet eight and a half inches to five feet nine inches depending on who is doing the measuring. My mom had her hip replaced and she is doing great. I think of you often through this. Blessings to you.

I only wear that dressy stuff to church. Amen to not wearing them if I don’t have to.

I never can find jeans the right length… I’m just right in the middle of the change from petite length to regular length… the petites are too short and the regulars are too long… I usually go with too long and skip the high heels because I don’t enjoy falling on my face.

Glad to read you again. Had to start a new diary as I can’t get into my old one since the hacking. No answer to e-mail. You are one of the few of my favorites I can read from a free diary, while they work on getting the old one back. –Formerly Autumn Leaf

There are so MANY clothes I can do without now that I am retired!

I find it so hard to find jeans and pants that are long enough for me. I think it’s the only downside to being tall.

I never seem to be able to find jeans to fit me. The shorts are too short and the regulars too long. That’s what happens when you’re a short person with a short torso! LOL Hugs, M

I think American people usually wear jeans shorter than British people for some reason!1 We tend to wear them right over our feet, usually getting frayed because they’re dragging on the ground! Roz says she can tell the american tourists just by looking at where their trousers end!
