Problem Solved
The big excitement at our house last night was that although Fred hadn’t gotten a letter from the diary master, his password wouldn’t work. So, he sent a request from the email address he has had forever and got back nothing, Next *I* emailed from my account requesting help for him, I told him that from experience, it might be a day or so before I got an answer. To my total amazement, I got back an answer and a new password withing five minutes! It was also suggested that the previous emails from OD might have got caught in a spam filter. I skimmed briefly through his email {with his permission, of course} but couldn’t find his spam folder. Actually, it is a wonder to me that he can find anything becaise he doesn’t delete anything! I delete almost everything after I have read it and the stuff I want to keep either pops into folders marked with the name of the senders or I drag to a folder called "To Keep." You would think, looking at my computer’s desktop that I was a tidy person; you would know looking at this room where I am sitting that I am NOT!
Now, I have a question . I am going to deauthorize my generation 3 IPod from the computer and offer it on Freecycle. I want to take the songs off, of course, but how do I do that? Anyone done it? Anyone with a Mac done it? {And yes, I have heeded the siren call of the nano and got one,,,}
It was raining when I looked out earlier. Seems like a good day for reading. Last night, I went hog-wild and downloaded every book by Peter Robinson that was on the Kindle list!
QUOTATIONS:

I had to go through the help desk to retrieve a new password. Guess my diary was one of those compromised. The problems haven’t all been solved because now I can only leave a note with 400 characters or less instead of the expanded version for ODPlus users.

My guess would be that you have to hook it up to the computer and delete them from there. with my iRiver, you have to sync it to the computer and then you can delete stuff. I know…I’m no help at all, but I always try! LOL!

I, too, needed anew password. I was lucky I remembered the old email address I used. I never updated it because I didn’t want my kids to ever find the diary. LOL!

Connect it to the computer. In iTunes,you have the option to “restore” the iPod. It’s on the first tab of the screen when you’ve selected the iPod on the browser at the left of the screen.

Yep, had to go through help desk too. But I have to say, I’m really impressed by how efficient they have been. I thought it might be several days before I got access again. Pretty good stuff.

ryn: A fleece table cover and headrest cover are next on my want-list, along with a table warmer for the winter. MMMMM….that would feel nice. I’ll bet if she has fleece on the headrest, she also has it on the table under the sheet.

they allowed me to log on in a minute or so. I used the same password…

Wow, I’m glad you got a response from OD so fast! I have found they do really excellent responding since they got the new help staff! :o) !! I delete stuff too. I hate having stuff built up. Joey, on the other hand, never deletes any email and has thousands in his inbox…. mostly SPAM, at that! Why keep SPAM, even?!! I hope you got a lot of lovely reading-time in today! I am going to do that next week when I have not merely one, not two, but THREE days off! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I’m glad that you sorted it all out for Fred. I have got better about deleting emails. It takes up too much space.

I had to email the diary staff as well, as my password wouldn’t work.
