A Pleasant Day

Fred and I just got back from Burlington where we went to an Italian restaurant called Boves. I had cheese ravioli and Fred has spaghetti  and meatballs. It was all very good and Fred has leftovers!

Today I put my old HP printer in Freecycle and within 15 minutes, it was picked up by someone who lived very close. He was aware he would have to buy a USB cable before it would link to his computer. He got here just before we left to go out and eat and I recognized him as a person who used to come to the old library when I worked there!

I also bought myself a Bamboo pad and so I have also put my Old-and-Decrepit but still working small Wacom pad on Freecycle, too. So far there are 10 people asking for it. I sent email to the first guy on the list telling him where I am and asking when would he be coming to get it. No reply as yet. I usually ask the people to give me a time–like morning, afternoon or evening and a day and then I put it out on the back deck for them to pick up.

I haven’t done much today except read and water the landlord’s garden and my tomatoes and the flowers.

I love freecycle – when it works properly and people pick up their stuff. The restaurant sounds lovely.

I like the whole idea of Freecycle.

The only Italian restaurant in this area is Pizza Hut! hahaha all the good ones are a couple hours away, and that’s in a car. I looked at the Bamboo and think it looks wonderful. Will you do artworks with it? I agree with SO you are great at keeping up with and beyond date in the processes of technology. be well…dan

I am reading your entry as I cook dinner, and right now I think a big plate of spaghetti OR cheese ravioli would be the very best thing in the world! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

It’s nice how old stuff can be used again.
