This & That
Today I have done a bit of housework, a bit of laundry, a bit of reading and gone for a bit of a walk!
Housework was the bathroom, mainly the bathroom floor. And after supper I hope to load the dishwasher and then sweep the kitchen floor. I actually have no problem leaving the dishes until morning but I do agree it is nice to get up to a clean kitchen.
Last week when I did the laundry, for some reason —laziness? —-I didn’t strip the bed and wash the sheets. So I did that today. Recently, although we DO have more that one set of sheets, I have been washing the green plaid ones and after they are dry, putting them back on the bed which is what I did today.
I am having to cut down a bit on my reading because my eyesight is blurring. I have to put prescription drops in my eyes morning and evening for glaucoma and I am finding that I need over-the-counter drops to help the dryness during the day.
The walk was to the drug store. Fred needed a prescription filling asd did I. It is a bit annoying that one prescription gets me 60 capsules and the other one gets me 30 pills. I thought I had it so that I got sixty of both so that, since I take one of each every night, they would be refilled at the same time.
Lor’, I lead SUCH an exciting life, don’t I?
Oh, I forgot to mention that there was a huge slam-banging noise this morning and all the trash was picked up from the sidewalk in front of the house! And as soon as our landlord puts out the "official" bins, I should have at least one bag to put in both of them already!
Tomorrow I will be hovering all day around the phone waiting for the news that my IMac has arrived….
So, plans for tomorrow:
- If I don’t clean the kitchen floor tonight, clean it tomorrow,
- I need to get all the cords from the old PC out from under my desk before the IMac arrives
- I have actually cleaned off the computer desk area but all the stuff from there went on the other desk, the one where I do my homework. So, if I embark on a cleanup of that area it will legitimately keep me by the phone so I can snatch it up when it rings to let me know my IMac is here
- Make sure I have the folder with the wireless access password on it.
- read a bit.
- Call the orthopedic clinic to make an appointment with the doctor who replaced my hip a year ago.

Just signed on and saw you on the front page! Has it been a year already for your hip replacement? seems like it was yesterday… where is the time going?? I have tried Mackintosh a few times and get so frustrated. Guess because I learned on Windows, it is a hard habit to break… It is amazing how dusty all those cords get buried behind our computers…

You were able to get lots of “bits” done today, weren’t you? My doctor sends in prescriptions for a 90-day supply. That would drive me batty to try and go at different times to refill my medicines! I hope your Mac comes in quickly! I know that you are pins and needles to have at it! (((Hugs)))

ryn-Thank you Patricia for giving me the correct spelling for the author’s name. It will make it a lot easier to find the book. 🙂 You had a busy day and got a lot accomplished. More than me, that’s for sure.
