Bad Weather
The book club meeting was postponed until next Tuesday because we have had and are still having thunderstorms. Janice, the organizer, called and said since there was a threat of hail, we had probably all better stay home…
At about 5:30, the temperature dropped about 20 degrees in an hour and people were rushing madly around. On the news at 6 there were pictures of many fallen trees and we learned that some areas in Vermont lost power. Our lights flickered but that was all. Now we have rain and thunder.
I watered all the flowers and the tomatoes today. Now, there was a waste of effort!

We’re having thunderstorms too. Hopefully they won’t be too bad.

It hasn’t stopped raining here for ages. Now, we have tornado warning in the north. UGH!

Interesting weather we’re having! You folks back east are hot and drowning; we’re cold and soggy. Sheesh.

WOW, you had rain today? Lucky – we are still waiting, and at 9:42pm, still above 80F. ICK. ICK. ICK!!

Stay safe! We had them last night and early this morning. Across the street their tree blew down and around the corner from us lost some huge limbs off of their trees. (((hugs)))

We had a tremendous storm roll through last night, scared the hell out of Mu, who came in for a cuddle on Mom’s lap, with fluffed fur and two huge blue eyes. Lots of damage here, and tornado warnings. Oh, and I found a copy of the Emancipator’s Wife, as you’ve enjoyed it very much, and I know we tend to like the same authors.

Hi! I have had one or two diaries here and one of the diaries had you as a favorite but for the life of me I can’t recall the diary name I used. LOL. I am going to stick with this diary. My name is Christy btw. I will have to get my hands on a copy of that book you recommended!

Lots of storms around these parts too, with people being killed in tornadoes, etc. An RDA at work today called to report her step-sister died in a tornado in Kansas yesterday. Yikes. Stay dry if you can!
