Things That Make Me Happy

  • Fred and I went out to eat last night. We went to our local diner and I had a cheeseburger and their fantastic fries.
  • The Kindle: Right now, I am reading two science fiction magazines–Asimov’s and Analog, and I am enjoying them so much I may continue subscribing to both of them.
  • Getting to watch Dr. Who without commercials. {I bought the DVDs}
  • Sunshine and being able to sit outside.
  • I am breathing freely without having to use the inhaler. {I still get short of breath from very light activity, but I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday and I will bring that up.}
  • I am LOVING that I am not taking classes or dashing off somewhere this summer. Don’t get me wrong–I enjoy classes and traveling, but I find myself right now actively enjoying the idea of no trips and no classes for a few months.
  • My stimulus check arrived in my bank this morning. I look on it as more fodder for the Kindle! {Like ITunes and the IPod, it can be a money-sucker if I let it. }
  • I got to talk to my younger son on IM a day or so ago.
  • I feel hungry which is a Good Thing. A couple of weeks ago, Fred was tempting me with soft-boiled eggs which are the only thing I am the slightest bit interested in eating when I am not well. This morning, I am HUNGRY!
  • Slowly, I am getting housework done. I still don’t enjoy it, but it does make me happy that the apartment is looking a little better…

Ok, off to make myself an omelet for breakfast…

I’m glad that you’re happy!! RYN. I think that the Catholic religion might be slightly diferent. I always get the idea that Catholics take their faith more serious than Protestants do!

I love people who can feel so happy about staying home and “not doing anything”! Home times can be very special and very full times when we let ’em be! :o) !! I’m pretty excited about the tax rebate check, so I can go bookstore shopping! hugs, Weesprite

Isn’t it nice being retired?? Doing things they way you really want to do them and at your own pace. Enjoy!

Nice list of Happy Things! that’s funny. When I’m sick I want soft boiled eggs too. MMmmm. LOL Hugs, M

I’m glad you are feeling better … and enjoying the Kindle. And yes I understand the not wanting to do or go somewhere this summer. good plan.

Omelets are always good. I hope you don’t get the downturn in weather that we had today — chilly and very wet.
