It Isn’t Friday???

I seem to have lost a day since I had myself convinced that today is Friday! Must be all the Star Trek: Deep Space 9 I have been watching in the evenings. I am through with season one and started on season two last night.

We have been snowed in again. Fred told me our little town got 15 inches of snow! I don’t think we got quite that much around our apartment, but there is certainly a lot out there. I didn’t go to school on Thursday and so the snow is piled up on both cars. I did walk to the drug store on Thursday and there was a lot of difficult-to-walk-in-snow and slush on Main Street.

Yesterday I got three loads of laundry done and put away and the bed sheets changed and the old ones washed. It sounds as if I stood in a stream and pounded them, doesn’t it!  What really happened, of course, was that I walked down a flight of stairs a few times and two clever machines washed and dried them. I did put all my stuff away, and Fred’s was folded on the side of the bed for him to put away which he did.

I think I am progressing a little more towards where I used to be before the surgery and the trip to Italy because although I was a little tired after all the going up and down to the basement, I wasn’t wiped out the way I was the last time I did this. And this morning, I woke thinking about doing a bit of house cleaning today! Mind you, that doesn’t mean it is going to get done, but thinking about it is the first step to that! Having said that, I know I am going to do the kitchen floor and the bathroom. They both need to be done with a capital D!

This morning my eyes popped open at 6 am and no matter what I did to try to keep them closed they stayed open!

When I decided not to go to class on Thursday, I sent an email to the instructor asking what she did in class and the homework but I have heard nothing as yet. I know she can get me email when I send it from my gmail address so I hope she answers soon. {Oddly enough, she can’t get anything from me and one other person who is also verizon. She is aol.com.}

More later…

well,tis sunday,10th feb.2008 1.05am here in NZ

I missed so much teaching this weeek, I lost a day, too. Reading about you doing chores is making me feel guilty about being on the computer. I need to go get some things done.

So, thinking about is is suppossed to be an indication that it gets done? Wow. That’s a concept! When it comes to cleaning, I tend to put it off until I can’t stand it anymore. When my feet make nasty little “sticky” noises on the kitchen floor, I haul out the mop and bucket, like it or not! Love to you! ~M

15 inches! Holy cow, that’s a lot of snow, and that comes from someone who has been snowed on almost every day for the last month. We haven’t had that much in one day for quite a long time. Must be those Nor’easters. 🙂

I know when I lived in Minnesota that we usually had snow into March but now that I have lived in South Carolina for 6.5 years it is hard to remember that not everyone has sunny 60+ degree days right now. In a way I miss the snow but I sure have enjoyed getting out into the sunshine lately. You and Fred take care.

Glad to hear about the progress with the hip.

I have had thoughts of cleaning today too. So far they are only thoughts though. LOL Hugs, M

I tend to -think- about getting tasks done all the time myself… That’s great hearing that you’re doing better on stairs and tasks. We’ve a little bit of snow today, but just little flurries.

RYN. I hadn’t heard of pill cutters before, so I went into a chemist today and asked for one. She searched for a while but then said they were out of stock. At least I know that they exist now though!

Still stuck in the house here, we got 11″. Going down to 0 or so with ugly winds tomorrow. My drive is 1/4 mile long so no shoveling for me. Will wait for spring to come or cousin to clear with backhoe. Whatever, it is warm inside. We have had 5 1/2 feet so far this winter and about 18″ now on ground. could be worse, this computer could be out. have fun…dan

Sounds like you got caught in a “worm hole.” ** giggling madly **

I always hate when I lose a day, then it takes me the next three to get back to normal.

It’s so cold and white here that I feel like we are stuck in a time warp. OH, and it’s now Sunday afternoon. 🙂
