Pictures Soon, Snow & Amazon
I will be taking pictures of what I am making in class eventually. I was going to wait until they were done but then again, it might be a Good Thing to see the stages… I am planning to work on my clay homework possibly on Friday and if not that day then Sunday. A lot depends on the weather.
We are having a heavy snow fall right now and I am SO glad that I have nowhere I need to go. I did have a 2 pm appointment for physical therapy today but got a call saying Candace was unable to get to work because of the snow! I was planning to walk up to PT rather than drive anyway and now I don’t have to go out at all.
A few days ago I ordered some DVD’s from an Amazon seller. Then I got an email from Amazon saying my credit card would be refunded because the seller I had ordered it from didn’t have it in stock. So, I went back to Amazon and reordered from them. It was about a five dollar difference and the shipping would be free because it was over $25. Then I checked how long it would be before it was sent and it was between 10 days and two weeks! Before it even left their warehouse!
Now, I had been thinking of their Amazon Prime for a long time because I buy a lot from Amazon. This means one pays $79 a year and whatever is ordered, no matter the price, is shipped free in second-day shipping. And, to suck you in, you get the first month free! The other thing I liked about it was that I can add Fred to it–any person, up to four, as long as they have the same address. I clicked their little button and signed up. I was told my DVDs would arrive today. So, this morning, I was woken by a phone call at 8 am. There was a robot voice saying my package would arrive today and would have to be signed for. It would, the robot said, be delivered between 8 am and 7 PM. So, I rushed out and put a notice on the door asking the UPS person to knock LOUDLY on the door. I am often at the back of the house, and when Fred has his earphones on, he doesn’t hear someone at the door.
I hope they come before 7 pm because I would love to watch DVDs on this snowy day. But, until they do, I will study my Italian vocabulary words.

Uggghhhh that sounds like our local phone company! LOL! “You HAVE to be at home so that we can service your phone lines. We will be there any time between 8am and 6pm.” What in the world!? So… you just take off work, cancel everything for the day, and sit. Bleh! I hope you get your dvds quickly!!!

Hot dang, that’s fast delivery! Wow! I’ve never had anything take 10 days from Amazon, though, especially if they have it in stock. We’ve got snow today, too, but February Thaw starts on Friday! Woo-hoo! I can’t wait!

I wish I could stay home with heavy snowfall….if I stayed home everytime it snowed, I would be like a bear in the winter. Our house is like yours, if they don’t use the door bell, we have no clue there is some one there.

I’ve not ordered things from Amazon because of the shipping costs, so that sounds like a good deal.
