Getting Things Sorted Out

Today I went to the college and it is now official! I am auditing. I asked the counselor why I couldn’t sign up for this on line and she basically said she had no idea! But her guess was that they {the mysterious "they!} wanted this to be done in person with an adviser. Anyway, she said from now on, I could do it by phone if I wanted to. She also commented that it was seldom anyone at the community college ever asked to audit so I should be sure to tell the instructor. I  also found out where the Italian classes are to be held and that the Italian instructor will tell us what books we will need when we meet. Apparently she was hired too late to get the books she wants us to use onto the web site.

I had given myself plenty of time in case I had to wait to see an adviser so after I was through, I wandered around Borders book store and spent some money on a hot chocolate with cream and white chocolate shavings on the top.

Then it was time to go for physical therapy. I was beginning to feel tired so I told myself that I would drive into the parking lot and then decide if I would go in or not. Of course, being there, I went in! Now, usually I do ten minutes on a stationary bicycle and the rest of the exercises are done lying down. But not today! After the bike warm-up, I then was set to do squats holding on to a table. I managed to do 20 in sets of five with a short break between each set. I then thought, oh, good! I can do some lying down exercises now. But, no! the next exercise was twenty plies which are like squats with the feet turned outwards! Oh, and Candace saying, "Tighten your glutes! Keep the back straight!" and finishing with her telling me to add five of each to my home exercises. After that, I did get to lie down and do various exercises which ware almost a rest cure after the squats and plies!

When I got home, I drank a bottle of water and then retreated to the bedroom where I slept for an hour and a half. I really tried not to because I am always concerned that I may mess up my sleeping at night, but I just couldn’t stop myself so eventually, I gave into it and napped.  And I feel much better although still tired.

Although I will do more than one thing tomorrow, the one thing I want to do is to go to the library. Oh, and get my last presciption at the drug store. So, I guess that is two things!

I am totally new to your diary, somehow I bumped into you, your 70 something and I am 54, I am so worry about my retirement, no benefits, no social sec. I run a cleaning business that has been good to me and I am alone, All my male friends have crap to offer me, I am looking for security but I am afraid to go online, God Bless you for being daring enough to meet someone online,Any Advice??

You had what I consider to be a busy day. Borders and a fancy hot choc. drink sounds appealing. I would probably get coffee, though. Your new diary decor is very pretty.

Oh, your butt is going to hurt tomorrow! Squats are bad enough, but plie squats are worse! Especially if you do them holding a 30-pound dumbbell.

The hot chocolate sounds yummy.

So glad you got it all worked out!! Whew, those squats used to get E too. Hugs, M

Tell SO you don’t know any 30 pound dumbells, only us much heavier ones in Michigan hahahha. I never worry about an hour and a half nap screwing up my sleep at night. I just have learned to sleep whenever I want! So far so good. But my Italian has really suffered. Momma mia hahahaha. have fun and enjoy the day…dan
