Getting Stuff Done
I slept very well last night and as a result, I feel very much better this morning. As a result, I have a bit of energy and after physical therapy, am planning to pop across the road to the supermarket and get a few things that it is not convenient for Fred to pick up. Like big jugs of bleach and rolls of paper towels which are so big that there is no room in his basket to get anything else! {He uses a basket and his wheeled walker which has a seat rather than a cart so he can sit down for a bit when his legs get tired.}
We have snow again this morning. Just a light dusting but it means I will have to get out and sweep it off my car before going to physical therapy this afternoon. The last few days I have felt a small surge of energy in the mornings which cheers me because {a} I am getting back to my pre-surgery and pre-trip levels and {b} I am slowly getting necessary things like regular housework, done.
A couple of weeks ago, Fred sent an email to our landlord asking him if he would please move our mailbox and telling him also that the dishwasher needed looking at since water was seeping out onto the kitchen floor. {We need the mailbox moved because in order to check it now, we have to step outside and this is why Fred fell a week or so ago. If it was on the other side of the door, we could just lean out of the door to check it.} We send him emails even though he lives upstairs because although we can hear him up there, we very seldom see him since he is at work all day. So, this morning I was making coffee and saw him outside taking Izzy, his dog, for her morning outing. I rushed to the door and called him. Before I could say a word, he said, "I am coming tomorrow to look at the dishwasher and I will also move the mail box!" I wanted to laugh but instead I said, "Oh, good! The leaking water has gotten worse and I am worried about the kitchen floor tiles!" The shredder is put together and I have started on a big pile of bank statements that have been piling up awaiting its inauguration!

(random noter) Thought I’d say hello and that I’m jealous you’ve gotten to see snow today. 😛

So glad that your landlord is going to fix your dishwasher and move your mailbox. I wish we would get at least a dusting of snow. They are calling for flurries on Sunday, but here that could be two snowflakes. LOL Hugs, M

I’m glad that you were able to personally give the landlord a reminder, even though you didn’t have to say anything, so he will be more likely to get it done. I hope your physical therapy is very productive today. You sound so energetic in your entry today! (((Hugs)))

What kind of dog does he have? I can’t remember. Hope he gets down there soon to fix that dishwasher. Try not to burn up that shredder the first day! 😀

Very glad to hear that the landlord has at least remembered, if not gotten around to the actual repairs.
