Today
I am SOOO tired! I had physical therapy with Alice this afternoon and she worked me very hard. I really don’t do well in the afternoon, or at least not as well as I would do in the morning but since I don’t want to drive in this snow/slush, I made the appointments to suit Fred’s preferred schedule rather than mine. Although, living with me as long as he has, I tease him that he is slowly turning into a normal human being who goes to bed before the small hours and gets up before noon!
Anyway, as well as riding a stationary bike for a while, in physical therapy, I also went again on the treadmill with the harness that takes off weight. Another thing I did that was surprisingly difficult was to lie on my stomach face downacross a Pilates ball, balance myself by bringing my hands forward on the flloor and lift each leg alternately. I could lift the left leg because I had the weight transferred to the right leg, but it was almost impossible to lift the right leg because the left wouldn’t support it. The best part of physical therapy was ten minutes with moist heat on my hip before I left!
Ok, what else…well, the gas man came this morning, turned off the gas, changed the meter and relighted the pilot in a very short period of time. He came early in the time period we had been given which was good because I was worried that he might come while Fred was taking me to physical therapy.
I have mentioned before how much I love online banking, right? Well, once a year I get a "thirteenth check" which is my cost-of-living raise all in a lump sum, and today I went to my bank account on line and there it was. And I was able to move a chunk of it into other accounts with a click or two. When I was teaching, my school district stubbornly refused to set up direct deposit, for us. And every month our principal came around to give us our checks as if he was employing me when he was a wage-earning peon like me! And then I would have to go to the bank after school, wait in line and deposit it… And now, the money magically appears in my account every month and twice in December!

I love direct deposit. I don’t have anything for my massage business for that, so now I have to go to the bank again. I’m not used to it!

I love online banking too. I’ve tried to explain it to my parents but they just get confused.

I like direct deposit too….I can’t remember the last time I was handed a paycheck, and I don’t think Joe’s EVER seen one! I’m glad your gas man came in a timely fashion and did his work quickly! hugs, Weesprite

RYN: The cookies are amazing…well…at least the dough is! It’s all done in the food processor too. Let me know if you would like the recipe. I can’t imagine having anything but direct deposit!

I love online banking as well – I’m in it every day – in fact I can’t think how I managed without it now! Although I’m finding it very frustrating at the moment because I want to set up a new registration & it won’t let me – keeps telling me I’m already registered. So far I’ve had about 8 spectacularly unhelpful e-mails from online banking help which have told me absolutely nothing usefulso I feel a ‘try & keep calm’ phone call coming on!
