Lazy Day</B?

So, what Have *I* done today? Well, I can tell you what I haven’t done that was on the menu for today. I didn’t go to the Red Cross and give blood. I had very good intentions but since my intestines are making funny noises and feel a little uncertain, I decided not to go. I may go tomorrow since I am going out anyway since it it library-book-changing day.

Which reminds me that I need to finish World Without End by Ken Follet because it is due back tomorrow and since it is a new book, there is a waiting list. I have been allowed to renew it once for two more weeks since it is such a HUGE book but if I don’t finish it today, I will have to wait until everyone on the list is through with it and then, probably, I will have to start it all over again since I will have forgotten who these people are!

My car insurance bill arrived today and it is $700 plus for the year. There is certainly a difference between insuring a ten-year old Kia and insuring a new one! Ok, now I am going to finish adding things to my Amazon wish list so that my kids know what I need {and want} and then I am going to read the Follet book for the rest of the afternoon.

I have seen that Ken Follett book! And most bookstores put another one of his along with it; the one about the Cathedral builders…. but I can never remember the title of that one. It is one of the best novels I’ve ever read though! I’m sure “World Without End” is excellent also. I hope you have a lovely rest-of-the-day, reading and relaxing! hugs, Weesprite

I really needed to read that second quite today.

Rich is almost finished with the book too. Have a good Monday. Oh, and let me know if they allow you to donate blood now since your visit to Italy.

I haven’t read a Ken Follett book in years, but I’e always loved them once I started. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for this one–maybe by the time it comes to the used bookistore where I work I’ll have time to read it! You enjoy your reading day, now. 🙂

I hope that you can finish up that book today.

Jeepers! That’s all for a whole year? Him and I had a 10+ year old car that was $300 a month.

Should that have been “he”? lol

HOpe you were able to get your book finished. Hugs, M

I like your new background colors. Very jazzy! Good luck finishing the book. Of course you could keep it an extra day and pay a fine. 🙂

Enjoy the book. I have several Nora Roberts books sitting on my night stand that I want to read. =)

I read Pillars of the Earth ages ago, and I am contemplating this new one. Hmmm. Oh — I got a Folio Society catalog the other day, and they had a listing of the memoirs that Wellington wrote about the Pennisular campaign, and since that leads to thinking about Sharpe, I naturally thought of you. At least the car insurance sounds manageable, just a bit over 60 or so a month, so it’s not a huge pinch.

ryn: I did a check last night on that and it went up $4/month… which is in the budget. I’ll of course have to call Geico and double check, but their on line calculator is pretty accurate. 🙂
