Sabato

I only did one cleaning job today but it was worthy of being counted as two! I decided it was time to give the dining room floor a GOOD cleaning. It actually hadn’t been done since I came back from the hospital except in a very superficial way. Now it looks very nice.

Tomorrow I start doing one related-to-going-to-Italy job a day so I don’t find myself doing everything at the last minute. Well, I have actually started doing one already and that is getting the mail program Thunderbird configured on my MacBook. I have had this program on there for a while but since I check my mail on the desktop machine, I really haven’t bothered with configuring it. I have got it so it will download mail from Verizon to the desktop but I have got ssomething wrong because it won’t send mail out! Of course, I can always get my mail on the Verizon site and I have that bookmarked but it is more convenient to be able to get and send mail from the same place!

Fred cooked some delicious pork this evening. It was tender enough to cut with a fork and, apparently, was cooked with orange juice and pineapple. I ate a huge salad {which he also fixed} and the pork and potatoes. Very filling and delicious. I just went in to tidy the kitchen and load the dishwasher and ate the potato halves {with onion-dip and salt} that I had been too full to eat at supper time!

Tomorrow:

  • work on Thunderbird if I don’t get it done tonight
  • wash the white clothes
  • wash the permanent press clothes
  • go for a massage–my last one for six weeks
  • start checking my address book so that I am sure I have all the email addresses I need while I am gone.

QUOTATIONS:

I truly need to get a massage. I keep telling myself that, but I so do.

I’ve been slowly cleaning this house up, annoying sometimes, but I’m getting there, just setting myself one task a day (sort, put away or throw out). Still feels like I’m trying to roll a boulder up a mountainside. I have this image of you and Fred purring over that pork dish like two very satisfied felines!

Reading about Fred’s cooking makes me hungry! Now you have me wishing I’d bought one of the pork tenderloins that I saw on sale the last time I was shopping! *sigh* Here’s wishing you a lovely Sunday! hugs, Weesprite

Wow, getting closer. 🙂

I forgot when your departure date is. Guess I missed it when you removed the countdown clock.

September 9, 2007

You are clever with your email program. I don’t have any idea of how to do that, get email on my desktop, etc. Oh well. 🙂 Your meals sound so good.

September 9, 2007

I hope that you have a fun and have a wonderful trip. Blessings.

Like all your other many fans, I am extremely excited for your trip! You used to have a countdown clock on your entries, but it’s not there any more. So I don’t remember exactly when you’re leaving. But from what you said here, I take it that I’ll have the opportunity to leave a few more notes before you leave.

Gosh, your trip is coming up so quickly. You certainly made a wonderful recovery and in plenty of time to travel. CLEANING FLOORS ALREADY? Go you!

I’m so glad you have been recouping so well and am totally jealous over your trip!! Will you be updating OD while in Italy???

September 9, 2007

RYNs: Yes the miracle of cut-n-paste is well…a miracle!! lol I’ll have to look back in my notes but I’m sure I’d have seen it. I did go back and look at the entries at that time and I had said something to a fave who I couldn’t read asking to allow non od plus members to read…but according to the date on the subscription it was given the day before…its weird. lol

Sounds like a delicious dinner. That trip is getting close…you must be getting really excited.

I hope you get it worked out on Macbook. It will be awesome to read about the trip.
