Well, let’s see! What HAVE I done today?

I have spent a fair amount of time setting up my Wachovia {new car} account and Dish network on this Mac computer. They are both set up on the desktop but not on this Mac Book laptop. This means I can pay these bills when I am in Italy, too! And also when I am lying in bed rather than up in the workroom!

I have walked a bit around the house and done two sets of standing-up exercises and one set of lying-down exercises.

I got up around 5 am and loaded the dishwasher, made coffee and made myself a couple of pieces of toast. I ate the toast but unfortunately have not yet figured out how to carry a cup of coffee AND use a walker! But when Fred got up, he brought me coffee. I sat/reclined in the Lazy-Boy chair and read for a time, I am reading Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Childs. It seems a bit slow in development to me but that might be because my usual attention-span-of-a-gnat seems to be halved these days and I have to keep reading back to find out who these people are!

The guy from the drug store delivered my coumadin. As requested, he banged loudly on the back door but Fred had earphone on and music playing so didn’t hear him. This was NOT Fred’s fault since we had been told he was coming around 4 pm and it was only 2 pm when he came. Anyway, the drug was delivered and I will start on the lower dose tonight.

Fred is out buying essentials– bread, milk, orange juice and chocolate cake plus whatever goodies he find on sale!

Time to get up and walk a bit more….

OOOOooo, essential chocolate! Works for me. You seem to be adjusting well. Yipee! They DO make trays for walkers. Have a look on line if you’re interested. Have a Happy 4th…. Love to you. ~M

I’m so glad to hear that you are recovering well. I’m sure it’s helping to keep you motivated that your trip to Italy is not far off. Rob lives for our vacations – plans them as much as 6 months in advance. He says it’s the only thing that keeps him going week after week, the anticipation of the next holiday! We go to a different country every year for our anniversary, it’s become a traditionfor us. This year we are going to Riga in Latvia and Tallinn in Estonia.

I hate an entire Death by Chocolate cake over the weekend. We’re talking a WHOLE cake, minus 2 small pieces, I ate by myself. And I wonder why I gained so much weight. Pffftt! You need a lidded coffee cup and an apron with a pocket 😉

On second thought, get oe of those laundry aprons that have 2-3 big pockets in the front. Then you can wrap your toast in foil, put the lid on your coffee and put them both in your pockets while you head back to bed. That would work great! LOL! You could even roll up the newspaper or a magazine in a pocket. I’ll have you loaded down like Capone any minute now ;0

Oh yes, chocolate cake is DEFINATELY an essential!!!!! Hmmm, I have seen thermases that have a cord around them. You could pour your coffee into that and then put it over your shoulder like a purse. Just an idea. RYN: yeah, I often wonder if it will EVER end????? Hugs, M

RYN: Wayhay! I had that idea…I’m going to do it with the Savage Garden song, Affirmation (because the lyrics also have a profound meaning – I have a friend who lives her life by it). So thanks for that, because I wasn’t sure whether I could pull it off, but I think I can. Maybe next week…

I remember feeling SO helpless after I hurt my knee and was on crutches. I totally know what you’re going through.

You are sounding darn perky for having surgery so recently. You aren’t related to Lance Armstrong are you?

I like the fact chocolate cake is on the list of essentials.
