A Lot Done
I have almost finished tidying up the workroom. Both desks still have a few things piled on them that came off the floor and haven’t found a home yet but slowly I am making my way through them. The floor has been swept and mopped. One bag of recyclable paper is out and the other is heading there later this afternoon. it is amazing how much better it looks and how much better I feel!
I just got a letter from the hospital telling me when the pre-op hold nurse will call to quiz me on anesthesiology problems, {I always feel sick when I wake up and a couple of times I have puked} the date of my surgery {which I knew}, a reminder to make a pre-op appointment with my regular doctor {which has been done} and the date of the first follow-up appointment after the surgery. It is all getting closer!
I had a phone call from my brother-in-law in England this morning. I always try to make him laugh but today he told me a story of my sister trying to buy a postage stamp in Paris one year they were there together that gave me a big belly laugh! All this came up because I told him I was going to take a couple of preaddressed envelopes to Italy to write to him but I would have to find out the postage to England!
Ok, this is what I have left to do:
- find a home for various bits and pieces on the writing desk {Most of the "stuff" is off the computer desk.}
- take out the bag of recyclable paper
- put another empty bag beside my desk.
- check to see if I have done the RSS feed thingy correctly!
- relax….

my goodness Patricia, you are soooo organised. I would be buying note paper and postcards in Italy…. and then wondering where I put my address book.

Hmmm…both your countdown clocks have the same numbers other than the month. I have a thing for numbers. Less than a month until Italy. Exciting or what?? I’m going to the public library today to research Italian cooking and plan a menu for the Italian Dinner fundraiser coming up.

I know you must be relieved at finally getting your work room done. Hmm, Work room kind of suits it doesn’t it? LOL Hugs, M

I always get sick after surgery, too. They do make better anti-nausea medicines now though, so perhaps you’ll be lucky this time!

Wishing you a successful surgery and no ickies afterwards!

I often get motived after reading your entries, Patrisha, because you are always on the move, and I like that.

Wow, it’s coming up fast, isn’t it! It’s amazing how much better one feels when all that clutter is gone.

Sounds like you got a lot done. I hate the odd stuff that is difficult to figure out what to do with.

Your attention to detail never fails to amaze me. Going in for this sort of surgery would have me fumbling about in a near panic!

I’m like you. I plan it all, lay it all out. Then freak out when it all doesn’t go according to plan! *sigh* I’m trying to learn to “let go” and just let things happen, but I’m not so very good at it. Love to you! ~M
