Oooops!

I woke up this morning feeling as if I was falling out of bed but when I opened my eyes, it was that old nemesis, vertigo, again. I don’t get it often but when I do, it seems to be connected with lack of water. So, I have already slurped down two glasses of water and I am sucking on a bottle of cold water from the refrigerator. It is also, it seems,  connected with having to  "move my bowels" as my Auntie Babs used to say! I am already feeling preliminary rumbles! I have no idea what this is and have mentioned it to a couple of doctors who also have no idea what it is  So, since drinking a lot of water and remaining close to the bathroom seem to work, I deal with it! I had planned on going to the library today but since our library doesn’t charge fines, it really doesn’t matter that my books are late.

I am still enjoying the feeling of having nothing I need to do. Of course, I know from past experience that this will soon change into wanting to have something I have to do but, until then, I am delighted to face a totally free day! What I think I am going to do when this vertigo passes–and this bout so far doesn’t seem to be severe–is to fill the deck boxes with potting soil. It is definitely too early to put in plants, though. I put three of the house plants out in the sun yesterday but had to being them in because the temperature dropped into the 30’s. I would feel horribly guilty if something happened to Frederika, a Christmas cactus plant that Fred has had longer than he has had me! I have repotted her twice and she is very healthy. One time I asked Fred when she bloomed and he said ,"When she wants to!" But it is definitely not Christmas!

Ok, just back from a trip to the bathroom and I am feeling much better. {Aren’t you glad I share all this stuff with you? }

I get vertigo too. At first it scared the heck out of me but then it was diagnosed as “benign postural vertigo”. There are exercises that help it but it takes a bit of time.

I kill every plant that isn’t in the ground….it’s just my way 😉

My mother gets vertigo. It is due to her inner ear. It makes her nauseous.

My Nannie Peachie had HORRIBLE vertigo – I can’t imagine that feeling just overtaking me for no apparent reason.

Do you think you’ll take another class for the fall semester? I can’t believe our weather differences. It’s already getting hot here.

i know others who suffer from vertigo too at times…must be hard. Hope it “passes” soon, no pun intended! We’re going to the large garden center close by to get plants for pots and a few more for the gardens, but i’m a bit worried about the night temps too, so will need to keep them all close to the house for now. Have a great day with nothing to do!

I tend to get it when my blood sugar drops suddenly. Not fun at all!

Hope the vertigo passes for you soon.

Can’t wait to see the plants in the flower boxes. Here in Egypt it is so warm it’s hard to remember that good ole VT is still subject of frost.
