Monday Evening
I feel as if I got quite a lot done with the help of a trio of clever machines:
- the bread machine made a loaf of bread after I gave it the ingredients, of course.
- The washer and dryer washed and dried a set of flannel sheets and pillowcases.
- I made a dozen scones
- I finished my homework
The only thing that was on my list that I didn’t do was make the yogurt. Well, maybe tomorrow.I got email from my former walking partner, Leslie, this morning. She had told me she was taking two weeks off work and, since she only passed my house coming home from work that meant no walking. Then, of course, my hip got more and more painful and so I sent her email telling her that I couldn’t walk with her in the mornings any more. After a couple of days, I got the notification that the email couldn’t be delivered. This morning she told me that she had actually quit her job and that she had also had a bout of pneumonia and been in and out of hospital! Anyway, I reminded her that I was in Burlington every Tuesday and Thursday and if she was there on either of those days to let me know and we could meet for lunch. So, we shall see.I have spent an hour or two this evening playing around with this little Mac Book. It is still fun! I still haven’t set up anything on this machine to download email from Verizon’s servers but I will get it done before I leave in September. I have bookmarked all the other sites I use a lot like Open Diary, my bank, Amazon, etc. Oh, this machine just told me it is 7 o’clock! I am going to have to change the voice, though because is sounds very grumpy!
QUOTATIONS FOR THIS MONTH: "There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so."
Hamlet 2.2.255-256
“Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” Jim Rohn (motivational speaker/philosopher)

RYN – the way you authorize a new computer to play songs you’ve purchased on iTunes, is to actually PLAY a song you purchased from them. You will be prompted to enter your password and once you do that, you’ll get a message saying your computer is now authorized. You can authorize up to 5 computers. Now the trick for me, was that I didn’t realize that when I backed up my iTune library from my old computer, it did not back up the songs I’d purchased from iTunes. So I had to actually go to the website and purchase a song from them for 99 cents, play it, then my computer was authorized, and I could transfer the songs that were on my iPod (that I’d purchased from iTunes) back onto the computer. Thank goodness I did have those songs loaded up on my iPod or I’d have lost them forever.

Sorry about the continuing hip pain. You are having fun with your new Mac, aren’t you?:) My daughter is thinking of getting a yogurt maker. I told her that you are enjoying yours. She wanted more details but that’s all I could think to tell her.

“Hey,you! It’s 6:30. Why are you still sitting here?” THAT kind of grumpy? Hee hee hee. I have enough people grumping at me. Don’t need that from a computer. LOL!

I have a bread maker. We all love it. I should get it out on the weekend. I’m sorry that your hip hurts so much. When your body rebels against what you want to do, it is not fun!
