A Last Entry for the Day
It is about 11:15 and I am off to bed but I just had to update because I am so excited.
I got email from the friend of la prof’s who had sent me the pictures of Lucca. She actually went to the same school that I am going to. With Fred’s help, I finally got her address after the Big Email Crash so I sent her email today thanking her for the pictures, apologising for being so late in replying and suggesting that if she let me pick her brain in person, so to speak {isn’t that a NASTY visual!}, I would be happy to buy her lunch. So she sent me email with her phone number and I will call and set this up tomorrow.
I have done next to nothing today and yet I am so tired, my head is swimming! Well, actually, I have sorted out my email which was causing me so much stress. But I have done little physical activity . I even drove down to the library which bothers me because that was one of my walks in the days when I could walk any distance. Yesterday I started out for a walk to the post office and didn’t even get to the corner before my hip felt so painful that I was limping.
Ok, I am really off to bed…
QUOTATIONS FOR THIS MONTH: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Ci vedo dopo…. see you later…
I think that mental work is more tiring than physical. That whole email thing just tuckered you out. But I applaud you for “sorting it out.” You always amaze me. Hooray for that phone call…you are going to have SO much fun in Italy!

I do know what you mean by the hip pain. And the bad feeling that comes behind when you get smart and know that pain is your body’s way of saying take care of me now! But think about Italy, and how lovely and warm and fun it’s going to be!

It’s wonderfully uplifting to get something to be excited about! :o) !! I think it’s especially helpful at this time of year, when so many of us are feeling a bit draggy otherwise. hugs, Weesprite

I also have a countdown but didn’t know where to type in “until my birthday.” Take it easy. Sounds like your body is telling you to slow down.

Hope that hip gets to feeling better. I know how bad hip pain can be. I have had bursitis in mine twice. Ouch!! AND, I also get to see my husband going through it constantly since he broke his. I wish there was something they could do for his pain. Don’t sweat the not walking. You have a very good reason to be avoiding it right now. Take care! Hugs, M

Email? OMG, I know your pain. This dumb computer won’t put email into outlook express or outlook so I have to go out to my isp and that is horrible in trying to sort through it and delete (one at a time) and I lost all the others that were already downloaded. Also, I am sorry your hip is bothering you so much that your walks are no longer. I hope it clears up and you resume your brisk walks as I loved to read about what happens and what you saw. hugs and more hugs r

That’s awful about your hip. Good idea about meeting with the woman for lunch. You can never have enough information about a place.

that’s too bad your hip is hurting so badly that you can’t take your walks anymore. so glad you got the email problem fixed. i think meeting this woman will be a good thing. she can tell you all about the place and i’m sure that will take some of the worry away about going. take care,

ryn: You have no need to feel guilty or conflicted or anything else. I’ve put myself in a position where I can hardly afford my bills, so it’s my fault I can’t afford the things I want. It’s a fitting punishment for financial irrsponsibility. I made my own bed, now I must lie in it.

I hope that your hip feels better. I have not been walking and now I feel like a fat blob. I have to start. Have a wonderful day!

E-mail can be such a pain. I had years of E-mail stored in my AOL files. That was all saved last week when Scott took care of my upgrades. The only problem now is being able to access the stuff! Notepad won’t open the files, and Word turns it into “computer talk”. I think I’m going to have to wait till Scott’s next trip over to help me get to the stuff! I know what you are going through!!1 Good luck!

*huggs* that sounds great that you are meeting with her! and I know how the mental stress can affect everything in your life!

Hey, Thank you for the note. I don’t mind at all if you add my diary to your favorites. Your description at the front made me laugh. I spent three years in the elementary education program working on a teaching degree before I realized that I didn’t have the patience for lion taming. 🙂

I think that it’s great that you have a professor that can give you so much first-hand information ahead of you going on your great adventure!

Hope your hip feels better today. I know its no comfort, but it is linked to the weather. Sean’s back is killing him and all of my joints are playing up – the shoulder is the worst of course. Spring is on its way though and I hope with warmer weather you will feel better.
