Why Am I Up at This Hour?

I was up at 4:30 AM. I have no idea why except that that was when my eyes opend and my brain clicked into running mode.Italian Phrase of the Day: Ho rinunciato al cioccolato ed il gelato questo anno.
{I gave up chocolate and ice cream this year}

My comment: Ma no, no, no! Non ho rinunciato al cioccalato. Forse il gelato ma non al cioccolato!

Actually, despite my comment under the quotation, I DO need to eat less chocolate and other stuff. I got on the scales this morning and, well, let’s say the needle stopped at a different place than it did before I threw all caution to the wind. The mind boggles to think where it would be if I wasn’t doing even the small amount of walking I am doing!
List for today: {Not necessarily in the order they will be done…}

  • read until it gets light. Fortunately, I went to the library yesterday.
  • clean the kitchen and bathroom floors
  • go for a walk
  • drive into town and take my Ipod to the Mac place. I find walking very difficult without music.
  • look for my Paint Shop Pro disk {at home, not in town! } Hmmm, that could be an all-day job in itself…}
  • do some Italian
  • go for another walk.
  • go to Barnes and Nobles since I am right there {when I go to the MAC store….}

QUOTATION FOR THIS MONTH: If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. — Marcus Aurelius

Until later….

i’m right there with you… giving up chocolate and ice cream! got on the scales a couple of days ago and was purely shocked!!! it’s down a bit as of this morning. i’m gonna keep up the good work. need to walk more! when does your italian class start? take care,

Sometimes I’m glad when I go to work for the day….it’s less stressful than doing the list of things I have at home 😉

Good luck finding your Paint Shot disk! I dread looking for things around here; it’s always like searching for the needle in the haystack! hugs, Weesprite

Amazing how slowly the scale comes down but how easily it can go up again. It isn’t the chocolate that I mind but the sugar the usually comes with it.

I can’t remember the last time I had ice cream. Chocolate, however, is a different story. I had one (one!) of those cherry cordial kisses yesterday. Not bad.

Being good is so hard. :S

My List For Today: EVERYTHING!!! LOL

Penso che io non possia renunciare il gelato mai! Il gelato italiano e’ benissimo :o) Non mangio il gelato americano adesso… non e’ la stessa cosa. I just happened upon your diary via Stephen the Rill, and saw that you mentioned Italian in a note to him, so I decided to come check your diary out. Happy New Year!
